Be interested to see how you get on. I had an early Aeris mk1.5 but didn’t find it pedalled well. Was fun downhill.
This should be nice when built!

Specialized Comp Alloy 15
Have had a few full sussers over the years (I also have a hardtail for out of the door / general razzing) and recently decided it was time for a change.
So far the journey was
1. an early Bird Aeris - great intro and fun, but pedalled like a pig
2. alloy transition smuggler which was awesome ...

Re: Norco fluid
Looks lovely. I’d buy a norco (also have no issue with press fit these days, so whilst I’d chose threaded BB it wouldn’t be a problem).
The website you brought it from could do with some work, so little detail on the bike or its components or geometry (unless I was being dumb).

Re: The journey from small guy to teenager...
What’s the racing plans this weekend? Is it an enduro or DH?
I’ll keep an eye on here in between trying to catch the UCI downhill!

Re: The journey from small guy to teenager...
Been following a while, as we are on a similar journey (albeit with an 11 year old). We were there for the Enduro and whilst this one didn't have 705 entries like 2019 it still managed to pull in 100 more than last year at 514
2019 was the year I entered, so those numbers confirm my hunch. Scott ...

Re: The journey from small guy to teenager...
Enduro is a great format. However it’s gone way past its peak and I can’t figure out why.
I was checking your lads results on roots and rain and was quite surprised how few racers there were in some categories.
As a grassroots sport I would have thought it’d stay and get bigger because anything ...

Re: The journey from small guy to teenager...
Yeah that’s fair weeksy, never had a designated DH bike and it doesn’t get the same amount of abuse.
I went to one of the talks Minaar did around the UK a few years back and he was mentioning how he can tell the slight difference to his bike,
Good luck for the weekend, will keep an eye on here

Re: The journey from small guy to teenager...
Did I see a few posts back you changed them in mid April? Do they chew through them that quickly? Or is this just erring on the side of caution and making sure everything is 100% mint?
Apologies if I am being dumb

Re: The journey from small guy to teenager...
Bike looks mint. Random question but do you put some helicopter tape where the Velcro straps on the number board are? I rubbed half a headtube off once with a number board during a very wet event

Decent run, looks like he’s just outside the top ten.
