My mate raced one of those. On a test day at Aintree it spun the oil filter off, locked up on the back straight & sent him up the road

Gotta be some reciprocity: you want the service, they want the business.
I just want a good old fashioned chat with someone & 'The worlds local bank' is currently making it difficult,so I'll find somewhere that makes human contact & discussion less difficult

Re: Bike for a pre-2000 Trackday
If it has to be pre 2000 I think the SV650 came out in 1999 so you could only use a Gen 1 carb version.
I'd look for a CBR600/FZR/600/ZX6/GSXR6.
For something a bit different a CB500 twin or Suzuki 600 Bandit.
Go up to £2500 & there's a lot more choice.

It's been a lovely sunny evening around here so I went for a spin on the Street Triple.
They're not to everyones taste but I've grown to love the 'Dame Edna' look.

Only used the 5s but really liked them. Think I got about 7500 out of them on the GSXS.
I have the 5's on my Street Triple & would happily use them again,I've just checked the mileage & they've done approx 7000 miles. The rear looks well used but I think I'll get another 1K out of it.I've been ...

ILast month I watched a YT upload by The Superbike Surgery on a BMW GS with a parasitic draw problem. It turned out that the owner had fitted a tracker & it was draining the battery.Has your GS got a tracker fitted?
