Re: After corona ?
It wont be "over" until they find a vaccine. So that's a good 12/18m, at the very least.
This is now just another virus that lives amongst us. I guess the bigger question is "what will be left" post lockdown.

Re: Living off grid
I guess it depends on what you are happy with in life. I have two family members that aren't quiet "off-grid" but live in what most people would think untenable (and old double decker bus and a 40' static caravan that is falling apart).

That is fine. We both have opinions. Thank you for your clarity above, may we both survive this mad episode of "Judgement" or "shit happens".

Re: COVID-19 and 'god'
I have a faith, it is valid to me and to billions of other people. The language you use is simply confrontational. It is not a dialogue but a rant. However, to answer your question, people of faith are on TV because it is relevant to a huge percentage of the viewers. Yes, more people believe in ...

Re: COVID-19 and 'god'
I disagree, now is the time people are being pulled mentally from pillar to post, with some placing false hopes on things like 'god'. Why is my opinion less important than someone who thinks 'god' is real. The thread is not abusive, its not even contentious, it's fact based. It's a question ...

Was hopeful of a furlough, for those that have been, the company makes up the remainder not given by the government.
The other half has been placed on furlough, the offspring is at home and just as it was looking hopeful for a free holiday

Its mebbe a bit early in the life of the forum and also at a sensitive time in general to be ripping into someones faith.

'god' made everything....the_priest wrote: Fri Apr 03, 2020 3:23 pm Who is to say God made it. Man's own fetid nature of messing about with animals and indiscrimate eating has done this. No God in this other than the way we love our neighbours in the community and treat those who are in need.

COVID-19 and 'god'
They are now wheeling out archbishops and various other "holy" types onto the never ending "news" about COVID-19, as yet not one person has asked any of them:
"Why did 'god' make this disease"
"Why 'god' made it pick on people who had already felt the wrath of 'gods' kindness - i.e. already been ...

Amazing how both he and Camilla both got tested whilst only displaying mild symptoms for Charles and none for Camilla.
Lets see anyone else get a test whilst showing no symptoms, or even mild ones.
No special privilege here, nothing to see, move along please.

The wage gap is a myth.
After much research it has been discovered men just tend to go for higher paid job, like doctor, engineer, and CEO. Whereas women tend to go for jobs that are much lower paid, like female doctor, female engineer and female CEO.
