I did indeed..it was an awesome bike, a tad heavy but great fun to ride .. I sold it when we moved house and it became a bit heavy to move about on my sloping driveway..kept it for several years which is testament in itself..several bikes later I now have a Moto Morini ...

Took my riding total to the 200 mile mark ..27 mile run along the Shipwrights way to Bordon the Hogmoor enclosure for a ride around the trails ...

Humid???? I got bloody soaked ..only did 10 miles as it was getting worse …

Managed to squeeze in a 20 mile ride this afternoon..mainly tarmac with a short forest run. Brings my total on the Haibike to 150 miles ..

Took a circular route around Portsea island this morning ..very warm out but i brings my total on the Haibike to over 130 miles so far ..starting to feel fitter ..

Anything other than a 250w assisted non throttle speed limited ebike isn’t legal and things like this won’t help for those that use legal ebikes. Something like this would be great for my commute though as it’s 9 miles through woods and trails so no one would see me but it isn’t really right ...

Managed another quick 20 miles down the Hayling Billy and across to Southsea including taking a trip ‘abroad’ on a cruise ...well the Hayling Ferry ..but as Benny Hill would say ..’ you try walking it ..’ that brings me to 85 miles in the past 10 days .

First proper ride on the Haibike ..managed to do 31 miles around Butser hill and the QE country park with my brother and cousin..bike still had some life left in the battery at the end too ..

There are usually ways of derestricting a hub motor that doesn’t require a kit ..often the speed limit is set through 2 wires in the controller that can simply be disconnected ..depends upon the model though ..

Didn’t bother waiting for the first service ...25 miles done and found the restriction just too annoying ...so this morning I fitted a Volspeed derestrictor which allows you to choose any max assist speed you want ...I’ve currently got it at 20 and the difference is night and day ( it also irons out ...

After a lot if searching and waiting I finally picked up my new Haibike Hardseven7 this morning ..rode it home from Chichester using a couple of cycle trails and cycle paths., very pleased with the way it rides .

Very comfy ...

Going to give this a go for a few weeks ..any tips on what to eat on the low calorie days that has some taste and is filling ?

Just ordered a Haibike Hardseven 7 . Should pick it up in about 10 days time . Looking forward to having greater Ebike range and more control over the motor.

I’ve got a Hoy hybrid and I’m really tempted to electrify it.

The big stumbling block is the cost.

A decent power Bafang kit with battery is now getting on to 800quid.

Cheaper kits are available but more power is always better...right?

I’ve got one and on shared trails it’s handy ..the trick seems to be to keep the ring gentle ..if your ring aggressively it winds people up whereas a gentle ting seems to bring about the right sort of response ..

Did around 35kms today riding the Meon Valley Trail with my brother and cousin ..mostly with the power off as my cousin forgot to bring the key for his eBike 🤫 it’s an old railway line so very flat but ideal for a relaxing bimble ..
