Re: Surviving the heat
I know this is veering off-topic, but if anyone wants to know more about the wines in our little corner of France, there is an excellent website (in English) that does a great job of introducing people to wines of the Cotes du Thongue and explaining why it's an IGP and what benefits that brings ...

That's minty, you'd have to be seriously fastidious to have it looking like that after 27 years in the UK

Re: How much do you spend on a motorcycle exhaust?
Q...can I wrap the baffle on the monkeys black widow in wadding to make it a bit quieter. ?
It's about 6/8 inches long with holes, but the inner end is blanked off so gas needs to go through these holes that would get wrapped. Iykwim.
I don't know, but that sounds like it would effect the ...

Does US history actually cover Caen? Cos all I've ever seen is ill informed whinges about Monty and useless Brits.
Caen was mostly the Canucks & their commander was replaced shortly after. The kept stopping at the slightest sign of the Germans. At one point their attack ground to a halt ...

Re: summer waterproof gloves...
No personal experience but got a few mates who use these. Looks like they have been superseded now as only odd sizes left, but mates say they work well and aren't too bulky. Sort of a race waterproof glove. I'd assume they've got a newer version. It'd be worth sorting through Sportsbikeshop website ...

Just finished Steve Parrish's book and tbh it was a bit of a slog at the end. My Bro bought it as a present so thought I'd give it a go, but I finished it thinking that overall the bloke is a bit (a lot) of a tit. I've read a few racers books and all go into detail about racing, the bikes, the will ...

The marking when corners are bing taken are joke too. Most of them are closer than my wife and I at our first dance at our wedding!

Re: Tyre pressures
Usually just go 36/42 as that's what's in the GSXS manual. I've noticed when playing that much lower in the front makes the steering feel slow, on the back I can go a fair bit lower without much change so typically run 42 but don't sweat to much if it was say 38.

Re: Tracer 9 GT
Can you build a shed/buy one of those metal bike garages, seem to recall some insurers will treat them as a garage of sorts.
Thought I'd read it somewhere, looks like there are caveats but might be worth a call to the insurer if you can build a shed or get an Asguard or something.

That's a bit rubbish. Doubt all this is helping your bike mojo. Can you build a shed/buy one of those metal bike garages, seem to recall some insurers will treat them as a garage of sorts.
Worse case if you have to sell it you should be able to get something older/cheaper they will insure and it ...

Re: How much do you spend on a motorcycle exhaust?
Not bothered on the GSXS, it sounds really good with the stock can, which to be fair is pretty much straight through with the silencing in the Cat I presume. No idea what it sounds like off the bike, but when riding it's a nice tone/volume. I even think it looks good, better than most aftermarket ...

The championship is exciting at the moment as lots of riders in with a shout but mainly as they have no consistency. I suspect had Marc not been taken out last year he'd be sitting on a huge margin already.formula400 wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2026 9:28 pm Crazy what’s happened to Bez,

Do you think you'll keep a 2 wheeler of some sort when you retire? Small scoot for local runs?
