Got this in an email this morning!
I logged on excitedly and found it was another £25. Still, it's better than a hoof in the nads...

I've had Premium Bonds for the best part of 50 years, never won anything. I'm tempted to cash them in and go on a bender. I'm a bit out of touch with current prices, how much drugs could I get for £9?

£75 this month, that's £25 on mine and £50 on hers.
The return on the investment is miserable, the 5 seconds of fun checking the app at the start of month makes up for it though.

Nothing again this month. Fourth dry month in a row. We've only had two £25's this year, from over £27k's of bonds

Premium Bonds are for queers and nonces. "I've got my money in the Post Office because it's safe and I'm mummy's little bender".
Grow some balls and get yourself some Etherium.

It's staying in Premiums!
Then in three years time it'll pay the mortgage off and I'll be able to afford a Panigale on HP!

Or you buy the right Crypto and buy the Panigale in a months time for cash

Sadly my £6.76 of savings will be worth only £11.

Pony should invest his redundancy in it.
What's the worst that could happen?

Got a letter from HSBC today, they're cutting my savings rate again. It was already 0.01%
Fuck you HSBC, says I. I'm off to find some better acounts. I've already moved a chunk of it into fixed term savings accounts, you can't access your money for a set period but you get a much better rate. A whole 1%!

Meanwhile inflation is at something like 4%, rising to 5% soon.
Someone has to put the interest rates up soon and stop printing money or it's going to be worth bugger all.
Buy watches and cars.
They're expecting interest rates to rise this week.
I fixed my mortgage for 5 years last month at a very low rate, so I'm feeling smug.

Yeah it's nuts - my first mortgage was 4.89% and I remember loads of people from my parent's generation (which is most of you lot, TBF) telling me that was way lower than they got. I've just re-fixed at 1.14%!
