Taking the law into you own hands...
https://www.visordown.com/news/general/ ... ta7u1jcA8c
So what do we think of this?
I reckon it's unfortunate one of them died, but that's gotta be a risk you take when you go out on the rob?
I guess it's also something the real Five-O are allowed to do these days?
I reckon he'll get off the murder charge and get man slaughter instead.

He's a bigger scumbag than the thieves.
Let's all start killing petty criminals.

Leaving the scene wasn’t clever.
Hope he kept his mouth shut.

You catch some scrotes making off with your pride and joy... brain says fuck it the insurance will pay out. Heart says... I will fuckin' kill them.
I have a hockey stick shaped piece of wood in my airing cupboard, it was left by the previous owner of the house, would I think twice about using it to attack someone breaking in to my house, no.
If I twatted him and he fell down the stairs, had a pretty bad knock on the head and died, I'd be in the same position.

I would dispute that the killer is necessarily a bigger scumbag than Yorick’s friends the thieves.
Re: Taking the law into you own hands...
There's a difference between the bike theft and being in your house while some arse breaks in - you've no idea what kind of harm he may inflict, so self defense is a possible necessity. They'd made off with it and posed no further threat to his well being apart from the joy of getting your bike stolen. I'm not going to feel any angst for the lot of them.KungFooBob wrote: Fri Nov 06, 2020 10:04 pm You catch some scrotes making off with your pride and joy... brain says fuck it the insurance will pay out. Re: Taking the law into you own hands...
I don’t think you would, the situation in your house would be the heat of the moment and you would have the right to defend your property and yourself.KungFooBob wrote: Fri Nov 06, 2020 10:04 pm You catch some scrotes making off with your pride and joy... brain says fuck it the insurance will pay out. Chasing after a bike in a car and knocking them off is different. I doubt it would be murder but may end up as manslaughter.
It may make the police reassess their policy of punting moped riding street robbers off their bikes as well unfortunately.

More detail on the link below, read from the bottom up. Sounds like the bike was an old shitter, bought a month earlier for £450.

Stupid driver. The bike is a snotter, even if it was a Ducati V4 race bike, it is still just a physical possession and not worth killing someone for. Bikes can be replaced, lives not. How terribly sad the value of life set at the price of possessions.
Proverbs 17:9
One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend.

The ten commandments are not listed in severity order, so both are equally bad?the_priest wrote: Sat Nov 07, 2020 7:52 am Stupid driver. Using that logic, you can go with an eye for an eye and either kill them, or shag their wife
Sweet.
