The (ex-pat) sales bloke at Beverly Hills Lotus was showing me the E-SUV a while back & said "It's not like a driving a milk float at all..."

Had a visit with the Cardiologist, spent most of the time talking motorcycles (again) but got my pump MOT'd for at least another 6 months :)

There is one up the road from me in a ghastly lavender / white flip paint. It makes a highly ugly car look even uglier. I had no idea they were 100k - it doesn’t live outside a house that would possess 100k cars🤔

Up at Sparrow Fart, 3S'd & shortly off to go shooting again with the former B-i-L. I now have a different target stand that uses two cheap 1x2* wood for the uprights, so it won't matter if I hit them with a .40 round (& I have two spare uprights). I also modified the laser sight with some gaffer tape & tightened the screws so it doesn't disassemble itself into kit form after one round like it did last week... :)

*actually 3/4 x 1.5in

Back from the boonies... My former B-i-L thoughtfully built a target stand & hung a piece of 1/4 steel plate from it. He was bouncing rifle & pistol rounds off it....

Then I took a shot at it with a Mosin...

oops...

& then for good measure I put a 1oz deer slug into it with my Mossberg 590, which caused the entire stand to fall apart & collapse :)

Remembered I should probably sort the insurance change for the motorcycle that's due this/next week - another £60 plus an admin fee.

Decent result.

It was suggested I try shooting my pistol left handed. First shot at 30ft, that would have made his eyes water...:

Just glad it’s only an occasional treat.

Cinema tickets are pretty well priced, The Vue charge a fiver for most films at most times.

Yesterday. Had my cat put to sleep. Came home to find him meowing for help, stuck in his cat tower and had soiled himself. His kidneys had completely failed and he had no strength to move himself. Took him out, cleaned him up, washed him gently and then dried him off, giving him a good long cuddle. Sadly he began to have severe fits and seizures with his organs failing. Then let the other cat say goodbye. The dog cuddles up next to him for a while. Then off to the vet to say the final goodbye. Took all of 5 seconds. He had one small meow and was gone. Lots of tears.

All around that event I had a Local Governors Board meeting, a Clergy Meeting, and a Ministry Team meeting and ended with a Bible Study. Today I have a Eucharist and Bible Study. Later on I will lay him to rest in the garden in a favourite corner near a rose bush. Scratchy bugger would like that.

Love em or loathe them, it's always really tough to let your furry kids go. Sorry @the_priest

Several years ago there was a Class Action lawsuit about high gas prices in Califailure. Yesterday I got my check... for the grand sum of $21.65... that is compensation for the price I paid for gasoline between February & November.... in 2015, FFS

Today, the news has announced that owing to the closure of two of our remaining nine refineries, gas prices are expected to increase by about $4.50/gal to $8/gal next year... So my huge lawsuit windfall will enable me to buy a little over 2.5 gallons. :angry-cussingblack:

@the_priest sorry for your loss.

Used my new Makita circular saw to slice and dice some loft boards. Went up into the loft to start screwing 'em down. Did 5 pieces and descended suffering from heat exhaustion and dehydration. It's baking up there.

PS following on from my Workmate question. My old one was up to the job so it stays for that sort of job. Might eventually get a workbench put together in the garage. (Had one at the last house that was probably sturdier than the house but there was no way it was getting dismantled for the move. Ah, retrospect is a cruel thing). :D
