There are other car showrooms ?
I know the reputation but I’ve got 2 1/2 years of manufacturers warranty. I’m not sure I’d buy an older car from them.

Had a smart meter installed. I've heard they're all the rage these days.

Re: What have you done today thread?
I took a customer to that same branch to collect her car. 50% was down on a credit card and the rest was cash. Cash was counted out with me and a staff member as a witness, so four people. Receipt given, paperwork done and away we went. Only back at her house in NB for half an hour and some Asian goon phones and was saying we never paid and he was coming out for the car. I was given the phone at this point and asian goon was told to fuck off and i phoned Arnold Clark who assured me we paid and the Asian guy had nothing to do with them. Probably never worked for them but he knew the car and apparently my customers address where he must have got from them or a crooked staff member. Never seen him but it left an elderly woman i distress. and worried for a few days.

Fitted a Tapo doorbell (to match our indoor CCTV system of choice).
Fitted a boot floor riser kit to the Cupra. Yes it's a lease, but I CBA with having all the spare wheel/motoring/emergency gear competing with the shopping space. And I've got it for three years, so I reckon it's worth the outlay (as is the purchase of said spare wheel).

Re: What have you done today thread?
Mainly gotten rained upon:
Morning dog walk - rain
Out to lunch with daughters - rain to and from the car
Evening dog walk - rain
Trip to supermarket - rain
The good news is it is too wet to cut the lawns this weekend
The bad news is they will grow rapidly once the sun comes back out

Went to the "Celebration Of Life" for my mate who had the 140+ bike collection. Must have been damn near 400 people there. Catered, open bar, speeches etc. They had tables etc set up a HUGE tent out back. People flew in from all over the planet, including Allen Millyard & son (Daniel had one of his 1000cc '72 H2's). Caught up with several people I hadn't seen in a while, drank some remarkably fine rum.

Driven back to the UK.
Schwedt to Berlin and then onwards to Farnborough, It took about 16 hours, most of them taken up by sorting out the paperwork.
I've got the drive back to the islands to do next.

I had one medium glass of red before last night's meal and because I hardly ever touch alcohol now,I was buzzing . I'm a cheap night out these days.636mick wrote: Thu Jul 17, 2025 8:47 pm Went to both the highest point in Wales, Snowdon, then down to sea level to eat fish and chips on the beach.
The drank rum and coke back at the caravan.

Just done a couple of gulleys and gutters...in the sunshine while 200l of rainwater was pumping from the collector barrel into the 'stock' barrel.
The plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data'.

Just finished watching the 2nd half of the Irish Hurling final so I have.
Absolutely mad lads, total amateurs who have to clock in at work tomorrow but more athleticism, team work, sportsmanship and action than any multi multi million pound football team or any football game ever to be broadcast on TV.
