Saturday just gone me and Mrs. G and another couple had lunch booked up in London so thought we'd do a bit of window shopping. One of the ports of call was the new Christopher Ward showroom. I called them on Friday to make sure they were open as the reviews referenced some issues. Turns out I needed to make an appointment. I asked if I could and was told to do it online. Mmm, ok. Fine.
Only I dropped a bollock and booked it for 1pm on the 23rd, not the 21st.

. So we rock up, press the buzzer and the bloke comes down to clear up the confusion. At this point I was apologetic and explained my fumbled testicle and we stood there expectantly waiting to be told it wasn't a problem and be ushered in.
Nope.
'Come back on Monday'
'I can't. I'm working'
'Oh, just rebook and appointment then. Bye'
Right....
Now I know the mistake was mine and mine alone, but if I were in the business of selling watches...
So we buggered off to the restaurant via Mr. Jones Watches in Neal Street. By way of contrast, the sales assistant in there could not have been more accommodating, pointing out the different watches, the choice of straps that can be changed at no cost, offering any to try on. And these are watches that cost a couple of hundred, not a couple of grand, minimum.
I know where I'd rather shop when I decide to buy another watch.
