What I do have to wonder is why the boxer engine only has one cam position sensor?
Could it be that if the cams are unsynchronized, you have bigger, louder, concerns? ;)
Even bland can be a type of character

Speed awareness course. Relatively pain-free 👍

Poor obs!

Daughter confessed tonight that she’s been caught speeding again, I said again? Yep…

I hope you can do a speed awareness course. Nope, did one a few months ago

Oh, well perhaps with three points on your licence, you’ll learn to slow down

I’ve already got three points, this’ll make six points

FFS kiddo, six points, £200 of fines and the cost of a speed awareness course, perhaps you’ll learn now!

All offences have been a few mph over 30 mph and from well known locations for mobile camera vans so she’s only got herself to blame…

Did this yesterday ! I know, I know - it's not exactly far, but with all the metal holding the bone together and the other bits in the joint I broke, plus the two ligaments that are mending, I'm quite proud that my knee was not hurting last night!! My shoulder (well, arm) was pretty grumpy but not too bad

Been out today as would like to match the distance today if I can but with putting more weight on my leg than yesterday to see if it can survive and protect the spazzy shoulder. Done about 800m so far and it's all ok for the mo - leg is a bit achy (not the knee weirdly) and shoulder surviving!!!

Best thing, it's my favourite Sunday - Millefeuille for dessert at lunchtime!!! Well, I bring it back to my room and will have it after my next tour for the parking area !!!

Cleared up dog puke at 0330 and 0400.....

I was going out on the MTB but it's just started pissing down.

Mrs M has asked me to sharpen all the kitchen knives but I'm not sure thats a good idea today.

Today I've learnt that it's "Bob Marley and The Wailers" and not "Bob Marley and The Whalers" totally makes more sense. :shhh:

Roomies son is moving to Arkansas today. 1611 mile drive.. which to me would be two days at most, but he's planning on about 400 miles/6 hours a day. He picked up a box van yesterday to pack all his shit into. He had all fucking day to get it loaded with a mate & his mum helping, they got it half full. Started by emptying his storage unit 70 miles away in LA.
He should have picked up the van on Saturday, emptied out the storage & then he'd have had all day Sunday to sort his shit at the house.
He's just now started (at almost 9.30) dismantling furniture FFS.
He laid in his fucking pit until 8.30 this morning & then sent his mum into the attic to get his luggage to pack his clothes while he stood at the bottom of the ladder telling her what he wanted . No idea why the useless specimen couldn't do that himself.
Left a bunch of furniture outside overnight, which apparently he's dumping here... including a mattress that spent the night in a puddle. I found the mattress, a night stand & a cabinet piled behind the SBH this morning.

* that puts them in Flagstaff, Arizona for the first night, altho at this rate I'd be surprised if they make it to the State Line at Needles (about 200 miles)

Have had to up my target number of steps!!  (although to be fair, I'm mainly looking at distance, but the Step thing on the phone doesn't do kms or metres, only steps :(

Walked down to spazzy sports this morning (800m there and back) but I was nervous cos it depends what we do as to whether my knee would be tired for the return!!

Yup - leg press big time and then 13mins on the rowing machine (he likes to make me use my bad arm as well, so I do usually do weights or one of the machines that uses arms at some point!)

So the walk back made my arm and shoulder muscles unhappy cos my knee was unhappy if I put too much weight on it

Just after lunch I had the antigravity treadmill - I'd been aiming for 60% weight bearing for as long as possible but after the stuff at spazzy sports, it was a challenge!!

Did 25 mins total - started at 50%, managed 12 minutes at 55% and 5 minutes at 60% then back to 50 for the last 5 ! :bblonde: :bblonde: :bblonde:

Surprised but very happy, and managed this, mostly because of the 1km on the treadmill !! (haven't used the crutches since the treadmill, need to save some knee and arm ability for tomorrow!!) -

Yesterday I matched the distance of Saturday - weirdly, more steps but same distance, but the phone was in my pocket whilst I was sat with a friend for a couple of hours and i did keep moving my leg, so maybe it was that sensitive (not sure I moved almost 300 times though !!!)

Saw the doc this morning and we are still aiming for a release date of the 11th June - the physio said did I want to be 100% weight or less to leave? I've said I'll know more after this weekend (going home for Saturday and Sunday :o ) but also just depends how good it all feels, or not !!

1pm, they still haven't left...

Turns out he made a complete arse of loading the van yesterday so half the crap had to come out & be re-Tetris'd to make room for all the stuff he still had to load today.

Update:
They managed to get to Kingman Az just before 9pm.. at which point he backed the van into a parking space at the hotel & hit one of the supports for the 2nd floor balcony & snapped it in two. It's not even a big van, pretty much a Transit sized Luton type jobby. Rear bumper wouldn't be out of place on a locomotive though. :wtf:

Took them 7 1/2 hours to go 300 miles...

Roadtrip update:
They left Kingman this morning, made it about 135 miles to Flagstaff at which point they decided to detour North about 60 miles & take a look at the Big Ditch, which is where they are now.
They *may* make it to Gallup NM for the night, but before that they're going to Stand On The Corner in Winslow Arizona, which happens to be just down the street from a really good Vietnamese restaurant.

Standin' on the corner just has to be done to add to a tick list. :)

A mate did an American road trip organised around getting his photograph taken in locations used on album covers. Might seem a bit silly but he said it was better than going and trying to work out a route with no particular aim in mind. Covered a lot of ground although there are clusters in certain locations. I think The Eagles and Doobie Brothers featured iirc.

Removed gunk from rain gauge and gave it a good clean. Hopefully it'll read sensibly now...

On a works trip to Chester, one to one done, challenging target discussed, hotel booked into, 3.4 mile run done, dinner booked with colleague. Day sorted!

Tomorrow is a day of computer based training :geek: That'll be fun... :shifty: :D

Garage pottering which involved a tool round-up & put away, general tidying, including clearing enough space on the workbench so I can work on the GPz750 carbs there instead of sat on the floor
Moved a bunch of crap that roomies son left behind in the middle of floor.... without making it look like I might be considering bringing the GPz750 home (just yet).
GPz11 got moved next to the ZX11 & ZRX11 so I don't have to climb over it to get to the workbench... however, now you can't walk out the door on that side.. which tbf was only used by roomies son when leaving the house or coming home.. or by me to back any of the bikes out to go be a nuisance somewhere ;)

Made space on the Yukon toolbox for the 30l ultrasonic tank which will be here later today.
