Calne bike meet (largest free bike event this Saturday)

Post by The Martian »

Calne in Wiltshire have an ever growing bike event and it's this coming Saturday.. anyone from here going?

Bikes take over the whole town, thousands turn up - there's music, stalls etc and there's a little rideout at the end of the day.

Parking will be shit, probably closest to town for a car would be Springfield Drive. The rideout is at 4.45 from Tesco (bit of a walk to town from there though).
If you go, gimme a shout - you could also park here if you need to (12 min walk into town)

Never been, but rode through Calne on the day of the meet a few years back. Wall to wall parking, and they were diverting bikes to a parking area way out of town. Also beware of plod, they had a speed check set up on the A4 and were hauling in a fair few bikes.
