I had a Remington 1907 pattern bayonet, WD stamped 1918. I paid £18 for it in 1973.

Wish I knew what happened to it.

There was nothing in the thread rules about having to justify the purchases :)

Finally found a gun I can shoot without getting constantly smacked in the face, apparently I have the long neck and high cheekbones of a lady, which is nice!!!
Thoroughly enjoy the challenge of clay shooting( couldn’t actually kill anything) but it’s quite an expensive hobby, especially when you’re mainly shooting thin air😂

Three new pairs of glasses, one with a dark tint to be used as sun glasses.

I'm now £357 lighter... guess I'll buy a new laptop next month instead.

Needed 2 new hosepipes but the big one I wanted was about 280€. Being a Yorkshireman, I delayed buying it. But today it was half price. Woo hoo. It's the Rolls Royce of garden hoses.

That's a question. Merging threads, hmmm this could go well or badly. Not tried it.

Edit:
Done. Let me know if good or bad but we can't go back

If you think that being seen is important, then there's always the Captain Sensible Schuberth ootion:

As far as conspicuity goes, that Shoei has 'digital camo' graphics. Those, with yellow stripes, could potentially act as edge and surface disruptive camouflage.

To be honest the Brut has been a let down. No one has mentioned anything about it, so I'm going back to...

This is rather nice. Has a caramel note to the finish as us seasoned tasters might remark...

Tesco have it reduced from £22 to £15 for 70cl.

I had a buggy and a 4m. I still have the 4m and a stack of Fexifoils and a slightly gyp shoulder. I may also be on a blue Peter out take for wiping out about six kites about to start a race..

The eyesight test is very strict for driving licence here and it gets put on the licence if you need specs. My eyes are fine for driving in the day, and you really do need sunglasses most days here, so carry a pair of specs in the glove compartment in case I'm stopped.

But last week I saw a great deal on Specsbypost for prescription sunnies. And only a bit extra for bifocals so can see the clocks. Arrived today and very good too :)

But more importantly, I got a pair of normal specs with bifocals for riding the GSXR. At the speed that thing goes, I wear specs but cannot see the new fancy dashboard display. Just sat on the bike and can see the clocks perfectly.

Happy boy now :)

Sort of got me thinking. I haven't bought anything for ages, apart from tiles, grout, etc. for doing the shower room.

Saw a nice pair of Paul Smith Chelsea boots for less than half price on the John Lewis app the other week, but then stopped and thought, 'Do I need another pair of shoes?'

I must be getting well old.
