How does anyone know what Mumsnet is like? I can only assume they're regular visitors.

Shoulder issues...Nerve related.. & probably connected to the botched surgery KPMG did back in 2008 to *fix* issues from the 2005 bike wreck (21 years tomorrow oddly enough)
Need an MRI, Dr agrees that I need an MRI, but he can't order one until I first have xrays.. which as we all know do a great job of showing the CNS etc... ffs. Did the xrays on Thursday. Will be getting a call from the Dr in a few days to tell me they ordered an MRI as the xrays didn't show a damn thing.
Limited RoM for about 3 weeks now, constant, but varying levels of pain & today the whole left arm is tingly. Supposed to go work on the GPz750 today, could actually have it running... but between the shoulder issues & the fact that it will be 102deg today I'm bit lacking in the motivation dept.

and then I had a nap in a chair... during which I put my hands behind my head, as you do, & made things much worse. Now both shoulders are buggered up.

I was thinking the same thing this morning when the alarm went off, having laid awake from 3am 'til about 5.30am trying to get to sleep. Now knackered and having to get up at about 3am to drop the good Mrs. G to the airport tomorrow morning.

Now I know I can have a potty mouth at times, but really?
Me and Mrs. G went out to a pub with friends on Saturday evening. Nice place, sat outside, and I hear two blokes over my right shoulder having a heated discussion along the lines of, 'You're taking the fucking piss, ya cunt...'. I look around and the two guys, both my age maybe, are sat next to a family out for dinner on the adjacent table, with two kids aged around 6-8.
I go over to their table and ask if they would mind moderating their language. All apologies and reassurance that they'll tone it down.
I sit back down and as soon as I do they carry on, 'and you can them that I ain't fucking doing it, they're a bunch of cunts...'. Bite my tongue. Get that look from Mrs. G. Ignore it, I think to myself. Just ignore it.
Nope. I get up for a second time and remind them that they have a table next to them with children , who can hear their every word, as indeed most of the pub garden could.
I sit back down and after five minutes they're swearing like fish wives again and getting all aggressive with each other. At this point I ran up the white flag and asked the waiter if we could move inside. As I went through I saw some other bloke remonstrating with them, I assume about their language. The manager came over and apologised to us and said that she'd had a word already and that they were on a yellow card.
As I always say, 'As a bird can be identified by its song, a gentleman may be identified by his language'.

A very dear friend of mine has been given a “life limiting” cancer diagnosis, in other words he will die within 3 years. I am so sad and still have to ensure he is loved, cared for and appreciated .
