Defence might be a shout. DEI has had defence companies treated like drug smugglers or terrorists to many investment companies trying to appeal to ethical investors. Even before Trump was elected there has been, thankfully, a gradual push against it. Now that Trump has declared open warfare on wokeism and DEI there should be a higher level of investment in the sector.

The ethical investment thing has done pretty well for us. The missus has a heathy pension chunk in an AVC that's primarily in a 'Stewardship' fund and it's done pretty well. Not spectacular, but steady.

I'll tell her she needs to support the export market and switch to weapons.

Some of my monthlies go in various "green energy" or "ethical investment" funds. I did actually check what sort of companies they invest in and they seemed fairly legit. Could have all changed now, I haven't looked!

For right or wrong, ethical and anti climate change investments are no more tempting to me than Islam-friendly ones.

I'm at my highest point since ownership. Truss killed me a bit but DT has really got things going, good lad.

We were introduced to them by a financial adviser about 25 years ago. The selling point was that they were a growing market that would only become more popular therefore they'd prosper....and they have.

Got no qualms about investing in stuff that wouldn't be found in them. eg Have got oil shares. Might as well be me that makes money out of them as anyone else. There are a few absolute no go areas for me. Wouldn't buy products or invest etc so I do like to know what the various funds are holding but I haven't gone into that much detail for a while.

Thought it was amusing when someone ran an eye over the CofE investments and suggested that a little hypocrisy was evident.

I checked my pension stuff today. It’s in two bits because they changed the NHS pension in 2008.

As things stand, I’ll get a lump sum payment of £140k and then £35k a year until I shuffle off.

LOL maybe, looking at my pension, some of it was there too i'd guess.... unless others fell at the same time. Luckily for me (maybe not him though) it was only a smallish part so the effect isn't too dramatic.

There was an impact on lots of tech shares including even Oracle.

I know I shouldn't be puzzled (because it's just perceived value not hard cash) but sometimes I think stuff like £482 billion? I wonder where that money is now?
