I've got most of the Studio Ghibli stuff too, but there's no car racing or alien invasions. Lots of flying tho'.

We watch a fair bit of Ghibli too. I generally love it. Most recent was The Boy And The Heron. Which was pretty decent.KungFooBob wrote: Sun Apr 13, 2025 8:45 pm I've got most of the Studio Ghibli stuff too, but there's no car racing or alien invasions. Lots of flying tho'.

Essentially it's the follow on series. Same author, 20-ish years later.MyLittleStudPony wrote: Sun Apr 13, 2025 8:27 pmI hadn't heard of that but I'll look it up when I finish Initial D. If it's good until the end. I think I'm on about episode 16 of series 1 and I think there are several series.Rockburner wrote: Sun Apr 13, 2025 10:13 amAre you going to carry on and watch MF Ghost afterwards?MyLittleStudPony wrote: Sun Apr 06, 2025 3:16 pm
I am pretty sure you could get one for two grand back in the day. Now more like ten times that.

Great actors in a good story. Kinda simple, but it worked.

White Lotus 3 was just as good as the first two. Really excellent characters.
New Black Mirror series is now on the go - so far, so brilliant, as ever.
Nice to have good new things landing again after a load of recent meh.

Andor season 2 next week.Sunny wrote: Fri Apr 18, 2025 10:59 am Nice to have good new things landing again after a load of recent meh.
The one and only genuinely good Star Wars TV show* and there won't be any more seasons
*I'd probably go so far as to say it's the best thing Star Wars has done in the 21st century. The only thing which comes close IMO is the film of the same guy. The Mandalorian is decent, everything else is a Toy Advert

Last week I visited the Valencia 'city of arts and sciences', which is a bunch of proper space ages buildings, apparently they filmed some of the second series of Android there (along with Dr Who and Tomorrowland).

Agreed. I did really like The Mandalorian too. But Book of Boba Fett was crap until Mando turned up, and I never managed to finish The Acolyte.Mr. Dazzle wrote: Fri Apr 18, 2025 11:32 amAndor season 2 next week.Sunny wrote: Fri Apr 18, 2025 10:59 am Nice to have good new things landing again after a load of recent meh.

Probably just me but I didn't really enjoy the first episode of the new season - gave it a re-watch and that second time, I did.Sunny wrote: Fri Apr 18, 2025 5:32 pm Last of Us season two is landing now too - that'll be next - the first season was epic.

Just finished Fool Me Once.
Wasn't sure at once, but it sucked me in.
Lots of twists and turns and side plots.
But you'd never guess the 2 or 3 massive twists in last episode.
8/10
