Really like Cadwell. It's taken over from Oulton as my fave, mainly because they've totally fucked up the layout with that godawful chicane in place of Knickerbrook. Barbarians and Philistines...

That really is a phenomenal lap time at Pembrey, I remember when I started club racing a young lad called Alex Buckingham was the man to beat, he turned up on a new OWO1 and was out of sight running 1.04’s.!!!
Seem to remember he picked up some decent sponsorship from Inch’s cider and went on to do some national level racing.
I know Mr Bevan was quick everywhere, not just Pembrey, but did he ever have a go at nationals, and if so, how did he get on?

He raced Superstock 1000 for several seasons. I'll wait for Alan as to how he did as i can't recall

I live by Pembrey, as in I can walk there from my front door. We used to test our Le Mans Cars there when I worked in the car world, the BTCC guys test alot there also.
I might take the TDM on track ths year for a giggle

Phil did a number of meetings at BSB Superstock with ''CoOrdit' Racing Dean Ellison and a certain Richard Cooper. He also did the R1 Henderson Cup ( 2008 I think) which was a later version of the Virgin Yamaha R6 Cup.

Had some great battle with Richard @ Pembrey - when the big bang R1's first came out.

I've been with him since 1998 - where we met Weeksey. Did the rounds of North Gloucester / New Era Club and Super Club on a 955 and later 996 RS Ducati- which was an original INS Superbike. When it got too expensive to run and engine parts short supply we changed to several Gixers and R1's. After dropping out of BSB Superstock - when the £'s went through the roof went back to North Gloucester for a few years.

Josh Day ( Tri Options Cup and Phil's son in law ) now has the lap record @ Pembrey @ 57.29 and has done a 58.66 on his R6.

Have been there when lap records have been set - low / flat minutes are a good time but conditions have to right when u want sub minutes. Late summer is best - when there's a seasons rubber on the track - the air is very thin in high summer and drinks bike power.

The late Craig Jones I believe did a flat 57.00 on a private Pirelli test session.

''SuperKarts'' can drop these times by a further 10 seconds .....

My claim to fame was overtaking him and Sykes when out on wets at Rockingham. I'm making an assumption they were running engines in ! This was before they both hit the big-time.

Bung me on the probably/maybe list for the time being mate. Hopefully i'll be there anyway in some capacity as normal, but would like to play on track if i can but got some stuff might be going on around then so cant push the button quite yet

Have done so. I'm not looking for 100% comittment from people, but with the smaller groups of 3*20 it makes it harder for Alan to hold spaces, so the earlier we can get a good idea of numbers, the better it is for him on the organisation side of things.
