I looked at removing the rack but it turns out I'm in indicator mounting bracket missing to do it. Not dear to buy, but then I'm not sure I can simply refit the rack without removing all the panels todo it. So I guess the topbox comes off as and when but the rack stays. Unless it doesn't!

I've always had a rack on all my GSXRs.
Handy as grab rail for the missus.

Tomorrow I'll be fitting a Renntec rack to my SV650,I fitted one to my Street Triple the other year.For me they're a useful bit of kit

I'd rather not have a rack on there from an aesthetic point of view, but then that men's wearing a backpack with slightly heavy things in, which I hate having to do. So I guess the compromise is going otb topbox on and ff as I need it, which is a second or so to do. Also means the wife will moaning about it being on the spare room bed even though there's no one in there!

My reason for having the rack fitted is that I'm very wary of landing on the contents of my baackpack if something unplanned occurs.
Regarding the aeshetics,I've fitted a ugly Oz spec rear mudguard to my Street Triple to stop crud being flung up & over me,so I don't fit in with the cool crowd anyways

Iused to follow a MT out of London and he had like a plinth base, for want of a better description on the base of this plate hanger. I was used to think WTF, but now I get what he was trying to achieve!

I bought the indicator mounting bracket in case I do want to remove the topbox and rack...

Over 500 miles on it now. I've got used to everything except the seat. It's as bad a plank as an effin Supermoto! Anyway, the comfort seat was waiting for me when I got home tonight. It feels taller to sit on which won't be a bad thing, although incredibly this bike doesn't give my knee gyp? I look forward to the test ride tomorrow!

So kids, don't forget to tune in tomorrow for more adventures with my long termer!

No chance. Seriously, I even leave work early to get back on it. I was only thinking today, it would probably not be the best winter commuter, but the solution I came up with, is to get another scoot for winter. Normally I'd be thinking about offing the current stead, but with this I'm looking to supplement it.

Lol, me on a track day! I'm not very capable at high speed leaning over bits and a crash and leg break around my mechanical knee would in all probability mean amputation? So I'll pass on that one I think. Plus I wouldn't want to get stuck behind you lot on lesser bikes! Appreciate the thought though...

Seriously though, pembrey is 20% about the riding. We've had complete novices like @the_priest turn up on a truly inappropriate bike and absolutely love it.

it is not what you bring, but how you enjoy riding it (and scaring the crap out of other riders at your insane speed).

They're both several multiples of a Couchy keeper.

Yeah yeah, well the comfort seat was odd. It didn't feel that comfortable, but it didn't make my arse ache either. Whereas I couldn't get halfway into to work, or home, without my arse getting numb. So maybe it is working, just needs getting used to? It definitely raises you up a bit, which is nice. I think it was worth the money...

LOL sounds like the comfort seats i've tried even the MT07 one.... it was different and softer, but nice/right, i'm not convinced.
