Anyone been to padgetts recently ? Last time I went they still had some new 70s bike boxed up At the back of the shop plus all the old racers on the shelf round the showroom. A real time capsule worth a visit.

The more I see it, the more I'm starting to think that I actually like it.
Maybe I need to go lay down in a darkened room.

There is one good thing about it: the seat.
Because when you're sat on it, you won't be able to see quite how awful it is:)

That's two of us then, every time I look at it, I smile.
I'd have to sort the drag-on-the-ground exhaust, but apart from that, I love it

Given the location of the footrest, it would nedd a long horizontal pipe before any upturn.

Surely I can't be the only one who got this mental image?

I should just wheel it downhill for a few metres, then wait for the tide to come in and take it away.

This is a goodie!
Can't afford a proper TZR250, look no further...
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fzr400-600-t ... SwSXdfqyaY
Take the model of FZR400 that no one wants, fit a 600 engine, the forks off a Laverda (WTAF?) and bodge some TZR body work on it.
The pipe made to look like double stingers is pure genius.

Call me picky, but as it looks like an old TZ250, it should have a green plate on. That yellow plate would really piss me off

Yeah, if it was gonna be raced. But it looks like a 250, so should have a 250 plate

Those motors are immpossible to keep looking respecable though!
FE's didn't used to make the same money as superlights but are now as popular. Superlights are fetching this kind of money but you'll be hard pushed to find a tatty one (apart from IanB's yellow mk4). There was an SL on ebay recently for over £10k - don't know if it sold but it was an immaculate Mk1 with Marvics still on it.
I reckon that one is £5k tops. Its even got shitty cans on it rather than originals or termis..
The other thing I really hate about Ebay WTF bike sellers is lazy fuckers who can't be arsed to even take the bike out of the garage and take a decent pic - puts me off right away, grrrr
