On the subjects of licences, I've gone and bought the Gremlinette a car (I know, jumping the gun) and when insuring it, just putting in the licence numbers of the three willing old crusties to go on as named drivers to keep the premium down, knocked £80 off the quote, as opposed to only having just the details of said crusties.

You may want to play around with which crusties bring it down the most. I found that having mum and dad bought it down but just having dad bought it down more.
Commiserations to the daughter but all the best drivers don’t pass first time!!

All done at £644 on a provisional, which then goes up to c. £1,400 pro-rata if/when she passes.
What the old crusties don't know is that I'm divvying it up and they'll all have to chip in.

My back has given up (again). I'm supposed to fly back from Spain to England at lunchtime, I can't manage to carry a small bag to the hire car let alone drive it. Currently on the phone to the hire company trying to extend the rental by a few days.

Just got back from getting my haircut. I got annoyed looking at my fat face in the mirror so I've rung my old gym and am rejoining. I'll get a PT for a couple of weeks to give me a targeted workout based on my ability, or lack thereof! I'll be body doubling for Brad Pitt by the new year...

Good shout.
I'm alone in the office until 5.30 then I'm on the bike and back home. I feel a beer in the garden is in the offing...
Until then:

On my third beer, considering barbecue soon. Can’t beat being sat on a caravan site watching others set up, always gives me a giggle.

You would have had a right laugh at me on Monday late afternoon trying to put my awning up in the wind. Rain was coming in so i was limited for time. At least 5 times a went to grab a corner to put the pole in and the wind took it away at the last second. Bastard wind.

Which one? And is the water warm?
I'm having a restorative cuppa having done some boat bodging.
