I go through a pair of birkenstocks in 2 months!!gremlin wrote: Tue Oct 03, 2023 12:18 pm I had a pair of Oofos.
I liked them.
The dog liked them even more.![]()
I then bought a pair of Birkenstocks. Mrs. Gremlin said if I ever wore them out she would disown me.
That looks like an ice cream van
You should relax more Couchy....your spine will get hammered if you are too tense.....
Grown up toy if it's anything like the RC Toyota that popped up on Instagram yesterday. Dunno how many ££s it was but the mechanisms underneath (diffs, props etc etc) looked pretty impressive.
Check out this badboy... might be the same underpinnings as what you saw as they do Toyotas too. Incredible attention to detail – it's not an awful lot simpler than a real one, and they thoughtfully provide various parts so you can configure it to match your real one.Count Steer wrote: Tue Oct 10, 2023 10:42 amGrown up toy if it's anything like the RC Toyota that popped up on Instagram yesterday. See the one I linked to above - I love Tamiyas, but these are a million miles away.Potter wrote: Tue Oct 10, 2023 12:45 pmMy Tamiya Hornet had all that in the 80's, I keep meaning to buy another kit and build it just for nostalgia, but I think I'd put it away ten minutes after building it and then never get it out again.Count Steer wrote: Tue Oct 10, 2023 10:42 amGrown up toy if it's anything like the RC Toyota that popped up on Instagram yesterday. That looks likely.Slenver wrote: Tue Oct 10, 2023 12:58 pmCheck out this badboy... might be the same underpinnings as what you saw as they do Toyotas too. I want one real bad! Though they're the best part of 700 quid... and you need to add your own RC stuff, motor, batter, servo...

I'd love one, but cost aside, it would take me months to build I think. There are thousands of parts and the instruction manuals are like the bible.Count Steer wrote: Tue Oct 10, 2023 1:08 pm That looks likely. It's not just detail for detail's sake on those transmissions, as you say, it all appears to work like the real thing.
Gertcha wallet out I say!![]()
I sometimes think the same thing. I had a Hornet. Also acquired a Dakar 959 and the huge monster truck pick up thing at one point.Potter wrote: Tue Oct 10, 2023 12:45 pmMy Tamiya Hornet had all that in the 80's, I keep meaning to buy another kit and build it just for nostalgia, but I think I'd put it away ten minutes after building it and then never get it out again.Count Steer wrote: Tue Oct 10, 2023 10:42 amGrown up toy if it's anything like the RC Toyota that popped up on Instagram yesterday. Tamiya Hilux kits are maybe £5-600? I thought they were cool but this thing you've linked to is light years ahead.Slenver wrote: Tue Oct 10, 2023 12:58 pm I want one real bad! Though they're the best part of 700 quid... and you need to add your own RC stuff, motor, batter, servo...
