Just cleared out the 3 big drawers in the man cave. Were full of shite.

Found 7 scart cables. Fuck. The garage is only 7 years old.
And we certainly didn't bring any from U.K.

Maybe they're invading and trying to take over?

Wife to station, son to work, walked the dawg. Took daughter back to the clinic, home to lunch. Cooked dinner, collected wife from station. Wedding rehearsal this evening, had a laugh and a great time. Did some admin work relating to said wedding, now ready for Saturday. Need to clean the robes and polish the shoes!

Oil/Filter change done & dusted, test drive done, swung by the Ford dealer to find out how much they would have charged... saved myself over $150.

Had a falling out with my step f-i-l at the weekend. He's grieving, but hes going through an angry stage and he has been venting at me for a while now and I know I shouldn't have, but I snapped back at him. :( Turns out its done some good as he just came round to apologise to me for his recent behaviour and I apologised for mine. I didn't want to go over it all, least said, best mended and all that and family harmony has been restored. Phew!

Very chuffed & gruntled just how clean my 30yo diesel F350 is underneath, makes it a pleasure to work on.. even it was 100fucking deg today. Was asked if there was a coolant leak as there was a small puddle of water under there... it was sweat.

My iPad stopped connecting to our Wi-Fi and I tried rebooting, renewing network settings etc but nothing worked.

I resigned myself to buying a new one so went to the Apple store, walked in and told the guy with the iPad what was wrong.

Oh I can probably fix that he said, took it off me, shut down Nord…and it worked again. He said it was just a thing that sometimes happens for no apparent reason.

I’m unsure whether to be annoyed at a 60 mile round trip plus parking or being pleased that it didn’t cost me a new iPad.

Today, like everyday that I walk into town (15-20 minutes each way) I spotted a car driving past with a deflated tyre.
Fortunately I was able to get the drivers attention and let him know.

I've no idea why so many cars here have under-inflated tyres, but it's literally every time I walk into town (most days). In all honesty, I actually saw 2 today, but I was unable to get the other drivers attention.

I've also been doing more cleaning. This dear old chap I'm working for has Asthma (amongst lots of other issues). The lazy prick that normally does this job is OK with having the bay window next to the old chap's bed, layered in dust and having mould in the sealer. I haven't worked out what pisses me off the most, the fact that the whole house was filthy, or that by breaking it down into small tasks, nothing takes more than 20-30 minutes to clean.

I drove a school trip today. Kind nice in most ways - pick up kids on the way up to the school in resort. Drop them off. Pick up other kids from the school with two teachers and some parents. Drive down the mountain then up to another (lower) resort for the kids to play in tree trails !!

There was the option to drive back to the depot - 35 mins each way - before going back to pick up the kids or staying up there.

Since I don't go home for that short a gap (it was approx 5 hours from drop off to pick up - lose a bit over an hour going back to the depot and back then almost the same to get home, I'd have had three hours at home for a lot of driving and fuel) - so I stayed up in Peisey. Sat and read in the shade mostly, sat in the sun for about 20 mins until, despite the factor 50, I could feel the bits of skin on show starting to burn!!

Got back to the bus a bit earlier than the kids were due back so I could open the doors and get some air in - there's no climate control at the mo cos it's broken, but also, no windows to open :( :( :(

Drove back down and up to La Plagne with 18 kids in various degrees of too hot/feeling sick, adults not much better :( Then back down with the kids that needed to be dropped off. All at about 35 degrees in the bus :o :o :o

I knew there was a specialist due to fix the climate control, but the office says they have no day trips planned for that bus now till after it's fixed on friday - phew !!! (TBH - I didn't feel that good either !!)

One thing - you know people say don't go shopping when you're hungry ??

Well - Definitely don't go shopping when you are over hot and thirsty !!! I have a freezer full of ice cream now    (although I'm saving the salted caramel Viennetta until a day I can appreciate it :bblonde: :bblonde: :bblonde: )

My mum's funeral service today. It's been a long, and at times tough, few weeks. But she had a great send off, is back with her man and we had a civil and warm family wake. Feeling pretty exhausted now.

Mechanicing, plumbing & gardening. Lost 2.7lb since yesterday morning, most likely from working in 100deg weather.

All day work meeting in Birmingham, so train at 0830, walk to the Cube. Sat and being talked at until 1640, then pub.
Then out in Brum, not that exciting but took the opportunity to get pissed as it’s on the company expense account.
Now in bed, in a hotel, dog tired right until the moment I got into bed, now wide awake!!
Hate hotels.

4.5 gallons, AC hadn't been on, puddle was on the drivers side where I'd been laying on the concrete, AC drips on the PAX side. That pic doesn't even show all of the oil pan...

This one does, it's 11.5in deep, not sure how long (first pic I found):

The bus I've mostly been driving the last few weeks has had no air con (climate control? They call it "clime" here !!).

Wasn't so bad originally but now it's getting warmer it's not good.

This week the bus has been around 35 degrees inside :o - not great, can't drink enough water (and not need a pee!) to combat feeling rough

Today I took shorts with me - we aren't supposed to wear shorts, but the forecast was warm!

Yup - by the time I got back after the lunch shuttle, the inside was 40 degrees and I was not a happy bunny !!!

Got a call from the office as I was driving back asking if I could do a couple of hours this afternoon to go collect a new vehicle from a nearby depot. No probs - more experience!

Ended up ddriving it for the school runs after that and once I got the clime settings sussed, I had the bus at a happy 25 degrees and could have cool air blowing on me :bblonde: :bblonde: :bblonde:

I have the new bus all day tomorrow :bblonde: :bblonde: It had 1670kms on it when I finished today :bblonde: :bblonde:
