Not today but Wednesday - TD at Castle Combe for Steve and me. Brilliant day but hot (30*), hence sheltering in the shade between sessions.
Note to self - buy summer gloves WITHOUT lining in the fingers which wants to pull out when you take them off… PS: that lovely ‘98 VFR in the background was flyin’ ….

Re: What have you done today thread?
Today. School Eucharist then a meeting down in Tunbridge Wells for Archbishops Council for Enabling Leaders. Nice discussions etc.
Home to sort some administration work out. Then back out to deal with the necessary shopping. Home early afternoon and now about to check some work done and the work that needs to be sorted for our church link corridor. All things coming together, but it costs money!
Quiet afternoon, another quote for painting and then dinner which is yet to be decided!
Wine into the fridge, a nice Vouvray.

Washed the ZH2 and managed not to slice myself. to ribbons whilst doing it. Summer officially over now though.

Went for a lunchtime run between St. Katherine's Dock and Shadwell Basin. Nice route along the canal.
It was hot.
Got cheered on by a crackhead.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Today I drove to Albertville to meet a mate for lunch (why do all my good friends live so far away - he lives about two and a half hours away
)
DAMN it was hot !! HTF do people live in heat with no air movement? Do you get aclimatised to it ?? (Worried from the mountains as there's a vague possibility I may end up living in Spain in the heat some day
)
Anyway - bloody awesome lunch, LOADS of laughs, the restaurant closed before we were ready to go home so we decamped to a bar nearby LOL.
After we left the bar, I finally went to a fuel station
left home too late to fuel up and by the time I got to the restaurant the car was telling me I only had 10kms of fuel left
Luckily, the petrol station was less than 1 km
I popped into a supermarket to get some water for the drive home and saw another guy from the course as well
So it's been a pretty damned good day (I'm now very tired but I think that's more to do with the heat as it wasn't an exceptionally big day !!!
)

Re: What have you done today thread?
Took the ZRX11 out for a quick ride. Was only running on all four when I was on the gas & would drop to three when I rolled off the loud handle.
Got about a mile down the road & rolled off the gas to make a right turn. Dropped onto three pots again & then ignited the gas in the Muzzy when I hit the throttle.
*BOOOOM!!*
Guy filling his car at the Arco gas station across the street threw himself on the ground. LMFAO!!!
It was on all four after that

Took the 848 for a bimble up to Newlands Corner, looked at the bikes, popped up the club for a pint and it turns out I won a peri peri spatchcocked chicken in the meat raffle. Well, that's going on the BBQ tonight!

Re: What have you done today thread?
Bought some of these...
https://www.thechillijamman.com/product ... hings-90g/

I've only had one. First bite, not too bad, quite nice. Over the next 30 seconds the heat started to build and build. 10mins later I still can't feel my lips.

Re: What have you done today thread?
I've had a chilled day really -
lazy/late start
did some washing
went to garage to find summer duvet !!
also found the books from my driving course last yeear and took them to an ex colleague who is going to start the course in August - I told her that if she can learn the "fiche orales" and do the code de la route before the course then she will have less stress for three and a half months !! (It'll be a fair bit easier for her cos she is French !!!)
went to a mates place cos there's a balcony and I could do some sunbathing !! (They aren't back till next week) - 20 minutes each side is all I can do for now; damn it's hot, even up here !!
came home and organised some meals for the week/freezer
THEN - I've had this cross stitch finished for years but don't really speak with the recipient anymore so haven't rushed. But, they are family and I did the miece with them in mind so it can't really go to anyone else! Soooo, I ordered some boards the other week to stretch this and another as needed bigger boards than I had
Only downside is that, whilst yes I have stretched it on this board, it isn't really big enough to then be framed, well, without a fair bit of faffing.
So I'm gonna leave it on this board for now but need to find a bigger one to make the right sized base for it

Hey ho - but it is really lovely tho

(for anyone that 'knows' - it's the first placement of the pins; it will need some further adjustment as I know the lines aren't completely straight, but I probably won't mess with it now till I get the bigger board )
