Re: What have you done today thread?
Today I had a service at 9.30am, both churches together which was nice. Then had a Baptism at 12 of a young boy from the local school (he was so happy to be there!). Made a light lunch, had a siesta in the afternoon. Then nipped out to collect a parcel for the wife. Back home to cook dinner and then do some admin while it is cooler in the evening. Just catching up with a bit of RTTL stuff as it is fun!

It's just a figure of speech. Mrs. Gremlin did a deep clean of the family bathroom yesterday and cleared out the storage cupboard in there, wherein she found a half-used bottle of Lynx body wash, which came from who-knows where...
Not saying I'm tight or anything, but guess who reeks of Lynx Africa this morning.
Oh yeah...spray more, get more.

Got up at 04:30. Drove across town to collect my son and his GF and then took them to Southend airport. Back in bed by 05:45!

Re: What have you done today thread?
Proud moment.
Just taught a colleague an english phrase

Oh for Fucks sake

He’s so happy. I explained it can be used basically when he would use putain - not totally polite but not totally offensive !! Especially for use when drivers/pedestrians /cyclistes do something stupid in front of a bus

He walked out of the break room grinning, throwing his arms in the air chanting - for fuck sake

This is not the sort of phrase the other driver asked if I’d teach them all (that was more phrases to help in winter with tourists!!) but still - proud

Beer in Barmouth. Having a couple of nights in Airbnb in Dolgellau. Ebike the Mawddach trail alongside the estuary, very nice.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Just had to turn the tv up and go find some slipper sox - bloody awesome rain storm going on!! Huge rain (hope it stays at rain!) which is massively welcome after a week or so of high temps !! 38 degrees in the valley today - 48 when I got in the bus for this afternoon's jobs
Love a good storm - definitely need an apartment with better windows so I can actually enjoy looking out at the storm rather than just listening to it

Good on you. I've introduced a German friend to the phrase and concept of 'Back on solids'
She'd probably enjoy the rest of the Profanisaurus too.

I went out with my lad one time only, having to grab the wheel, bloody frightening. Got him booked in with someone proper. You've been warned.
