My work had an epiphany a few years ago, that it wasn't always possible to get fed for the amount permitted. Astounding.

I was sent to our office in Toronto in 1999 for 4 months.
I had £50 a day expenses.
£10 brekky.
£10 dinner.
£20 tea.
£10 misc.

I made friends with many places who'd do me the receipt that I needed ;)

I must be getting robbed. At least once a week we get them coming from the marsh at the back of the house.

Got a slow puncture on car over weekend so slipped the spare on and found where the tiny hole was.
Popped into local tyre shop today and they fixed it straight away. 8€ :D

As I was carrying it to the car, the lad beckoned me to bring the car in and he swapped the wheels over. Gave him 5€ for a few beers.

I'll be well treated next time ;)

I might just have got away with it !

Warmed up my KTM this morning, dumped the cheapo oil out and replaced it with the expensive stuff.

The bike still isn't particularly noisy (for a KTM) so I took it out for a couple hours, nothing too hard yet but some decent pulls plus lots of town riding, including letting it get "too hot".

All seems OK, heading out again in a bit to ride it a bit harder, but so far so good !?

If you still have the oil, wrap a magnet in cling film and check for bits?

Most of the important bits are aluminium though, or 'bearing metal'. The crank is steel but if you're wearing that down you've got some fun coming :D

Changed the 'float' I use for exercises to my shoulder in the pool. Changed to a ball - which made things way more difficult but didn't hurt :bblonde: :bblonde:

Car insurance renewal came through just over £200 quid cheaper than last year and the comparison sites couldn't get anywhere near the renewal price Now that's a first for me!

This news story made me giggle.

Scumbag Taliban are asking the civilised world to help them.

Maybe Weeksy can arrange a whipround :obscene-birdiedoublered:

In that article the Taliban is described as "...the Islamist movement which regained power last year after the Western-backed government collapsed."

I suppos that's one way of describing what happened.

Actually, they're asking the world to help the poor sods hit by an earthquake. 1000 dead, 1500 injured, many homeless. First sensible thing they've done is to ask for help (as long as it's not money directly to the government). Not much to giggle about tbh.
