Pumped about 300l of harvested rainwater into the pond.

The plants in baskets on the perimeter ledge were no longer semi-aquatic. :(

Now they're getting their feet wet.

(I expect it will now rain  )

Another one for the bucket list: Agordo up to Passo Giau. Miles of hairpins upon hairpins and stunning scenery.

I got out straight after breakfast and went walking around the site, wasn’t sure the pool would be open so thought I’d do a bit more walking as only one physio session today

Then physio was cancelled (guessing something is wrong for my physio as she’s out for two days ☹️☹️) - so I walked around again

Found out the pool was open and the spazzy sports physio offered me time there. So I did about 15 mins (including pauses!) on the leg press - didn’t push it too far cos last time I did go too hard on the press I struggled to walk back to my room!!!

Then, pool therapy 🥳🥳🥳

Anyway - all that walking and to and from the various sessions - 3kms 😳😳 THREE 🎉🎉🎉

Am tired and very proud - especially as most of the walking was with minimal pressure on the crutches 😇😇 My arm still hurts, and the metal shoulder has started clicking as I move the right crutch (but I think that’s just cos all the muscles around it are so tight), but at this rate I should be off crutches by the end if the week/early next week and hopefully home by 11 June!!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Been up a lot through the night, mainly watching biblical rain! Much needed of course, but by fook it came down with a vengeance here, it even woke Mrs T up, and she sleeps like the dead!

Oh... looking outside it doesn't look like we've had any of that... deffo a bit of wet, but no puddles or anything.

It's rained here, but not enough to wash all the sand off my car that it got covered with the last time it rained.

Wife's away in France on a school trip, so I'm solo parenting this week. Fish and chips for the 3 kids and I've cooked a chicken Laksa.

I might have overdone it on the chillies as I'm sweating a touch now...

Today I have walked mostly with one stick (crutch!)  Not always comfortable but not painful. Kinda weird too (all the broken bits inside the knee means it swells up after physio or walking - although that doesn't show outside; the outside is still twice the size of the the other knee and likely to stay that way for months

Annoying that finally therapists are telling me that it can take up to six months to be fully fit and for a complex/complicated fracture it's rare to be walking without sticks before 4 months. Am a smidge miffed as, since the doctor suggested I would leave on the 11th (three months) I thought I needed to be walking without crutches   And didn't want to go home before I was comfortable on just one stick

Oh well - I have pushed myself this last couple of weeks to get to the point of leaving on the 11th, so I suppose there are benefits, but I think I would have pushed myself either way because I really want to go home!!

Finished 8 days in ROI yesterday with mrs D and the Jazz. Yesterday drove from Galway to Dublin, ferry to Holyhead, then 2.5 hrs home, absolutely fcuked this morning.

It's been a great trip but even better to be home this morning. 🙂👍

Run around like a maniac sorting things before heading for Heathrow and another flight to Chile which we only booked at about midnight.

Not for a fun reason this time. :(

Yesterday I took the bike on new trailer for test drive.
Hit a speed hump too fast and saw bike higher than it should be on trailer

Good news, the straps held well.

Bad news big clanky sound on trailer. The front mount bolt of the hitch thingy had sheared. And the tube inside fucked up
So fashioned a metal plate to absorb any impact and a second plate to attach a couple of U-bolts.

Lots of swearing to make it all fit :D

Not pretty, but I'm going to Portugal Saturday so needs to give me confidence.
