I am also on the FODMAP spectrum being unable to tolerate anything in the pea family, onion family and certain sports gels/drinks because of the sugars they use. Also Cherrys and almonds!
I have reactions to artificial/fake sugars so I was well pissed off when the sugar tax came in and all the squashes and high juices I could drink suddenly become unusable.
This makes eating out a pain and I have been we'll and truly reamed out when manufacturers change the recipe of something I could eat and I haven't checked.
I'm not allergic to anything but unfortunately after I went cold turkey on gluten and finally got an appointment, the test for coeliac means eating gluten for six weeks to trigger the necessary body response for them to test it! That was a grim 6 weeks. The NHS gluten/coeliac test is a cheap yes or no result rather than scaled. One of my brothers with similar symptoms paid for a private test which is expensive but tests a wide variety of intolerances and barring almonds and Cherrys we pretty have much the same intolerances.
I should really have shares in Immodium
