Got some Shine Armor goop for the vehicles & bikes... Gave the ZX11 a quick squirt & the 30yo paint now looks like it's about to puddle on the floor. Well impressed.

Re: The Official Pleasing Purchase Thread
Semi-pleasing.
Four new tyres for the car, only £480 fitted!
Goodyear Eagles or something.
I have eeked 22k miles out of the current set, that were already part worn when I bought the car two years ago.
On my old 330i I needed new rear tyres every MOT and I was only doing 7k a year

I suspect it's going to be a 'bit' more than £480 but, on the bright side, the existing ones have done over 30k miles - and are still legal but should really have done them before winter.

Mine would have been more... until I remembered Costco does tyres. These Goodyears are £120 a corner fitted.
Halfords/Kwik fit want £160 a corner fitted for the same tyres.

My Vax PowerBastard XL OCD Turbo has a 'pet cleaning attachment hose'. Basically you can spray and vacuum your dog/cat, who I'm sure will stay calm and relaxed throughout the entire process, not running off to hide for the next 3 days.

Aye right. Mine would jump out the window and the shih tzu would probably get sucked up and block the hose. They both dont mind a shower mind you but no chance of getting near them with a hair dryer.
We are all laminate apart from rugs so dont need a big fancy bells and whistles one.

Re: The Official Pleasing Purchase Thread
I'm so glad the F350 came with seven new tires, don't have to worry about that for quite a while, probably looking at $1500 at some point. ST will be getting new tires this year, original Michelins have a little over 45,000 miles on them.Count Steer wrote: Mon Feb 03, 2025 10:56 am I've got that to look forward to this week.![]()

Some misguided chap has sent me $$ for the old lights I took off the F350, apparently he's pleased.

AC/DC stamps from the Royal mail.
They can go with the Iron Maiden ones.
Hopefully they'll release a set of Def Leppard ones and then I'll frame all three sets

Re: The Official Pleasing Purchase Thread
11 months after I bought the F350 I found the corner brackets doodads for the tonneau cover. It had one broken & one damaged, the other two are fine. Called the manufacturer months ago, only to discover their idea of a "life time warranty".... was the lifetime of the production run, which ended about 25 years ago.
Today I found a place online that had reproductions for a few $$, so ordered two.
Chuffed & very gruntled. Now I can retire the half assed F-clamp fuckery I've been relying on.

Re: The Official Pleasing Purchase Thread
More of a pleasing repurposing than a recent purchase.
Some time ago the missus had a bad/painful back problem (it's all the fitness stuff she does
) and bought a litter picker as picking stuff up off the floor was a no-no. It's one of those 'squeeze the trigger and the pincers on the end close' things.
It's brilliant!....
....for nurdling loft insulation into the nooks and crannies of the loft where you can't squeeze yourself into.
