Some time ago the missus had a bad/painful back problem (it's all the fitness stuff she does  ) and bought a litter picker as picking stuff up off the floor was a no-no. It's one of those 'squeeze the trigger and the pincers on the end close' things.

It's brilliant!....

....for nurdling loft insulation into the nooks and crannies of the loft where you can't squeeze yourself into.

I was using one for a couple of weeks after the hip op to fasten my sandals. Not supposed to bend the hip less than 90° so putting shoes on was a no no (or use a carer!) but I could get sandals on myself. I've been wearing socks with them as it's chilly which is of course a fashion faux pas but I don't care.

How did you get the socks on?

With a bit of difficulty and discomfort, forcing my leg back and bending it at the knee then pulling the sock on one handed. I didn't realise I was that supple!

Tricky at first but a piece of cake now.

Had a 'moment' today!! Went to Chambery for lunch and stopped at a bike shop on the way :angelic-green: :angelic-green:

Still miss my Shoei that had the corset detail graphic, but they don't do that any more. So, slightly more subtle lid - although there is a bit of glitter in the black bits :D :D

And whilst I was there I thought I should probably look at gloves cos I've only got some little summer 'shorties'. These feel loads more substantial and are a bit longer - and AlpineStar :D :D

A little scary to spend so much money in one hit on two things!! But worth it!

Now I have to find and buy a bike :obscene-drinkingcheers: :obscene-drinkingcheers: :obscene-drinkingcheers:

The other side spent that long in a sling. It would feel like false economy. :D

Two this week, the first is easy and 'relatively' cheap -

a coffee storage tub. Means I don't have to stress about not having ground coffee at 1am and so going without (not using the coffee grinder at that time of day!!). It pushes the air out and is also airtight :D :D

A bit big for my place TBF, but it's kinda cool :D :D

The second - I finally upgraded my laptop. The old MacPro is still struggling on, but it's causing arm issues when I have to lift it from it's 'place' (I know, put it somewhere else - the somewhere elses are somewhat limited here!), it's proper clunky and damn it's heavy so I don't take it with my much any more.

I settled on a Mac Air - not the totally singing and dancing one, but way better than than the Pro :D :D

Only downside is not being able to migrate from the old to the new because of an issue with Gmail on the old one FFS!!

Have messaged the local tech to see if he's available next week - not like I'll have much time to use it over the weekend!! LOL

But, despite that set back, I am very happy to have a shiny new and LIGHT laptop. More happy when I can actually use it!! LOL

If they are the new ones, I’d hate to see the state of the old ones… :D

Bought a CD and then realised I've got no way to play it and even at work we're no longer allowed to connect external media. Amazon provided this usb-a/c connecting external drive so i was able to rip it down. £6.49!

@Buckaroo said similar and was why I bought it. I've ripped it down now but have to listen to it later as many visitors today...

Purchased for me, as a gift, which is doubleplus good - a Uni Kuru Toga 'Roulette' mechanical pencil. (From Cult Pens who I can recommend heartily  ).

The leads supplied with it are excellent, the little rubber in the top is like magic and the lead rotates automatically to keep it sharp, hence 'Roulette'.

Clever, them Japanese.
