I've stayed in places where the mini-bar has juice, water, fresh milk, nibbles and the occasional couple of beers/mini-bottles of wine
A number of the hotels in Vietnam had free beers in the mini bar, but water you got charged for.
Did you give the beer to the Ladyboys?

We don't have towels in the bathroom, they're in the linen cupboard and we fetch one when we have a wash/shower and then we put it in the wash afterwards.

About twice a week for shower towel.

I wouldn't want to dry my face where I'd dried my arse the day before but a clean one every time is wasteful and unnecessary so towel is organised; by the label is arse crack corner, opposite corner is bollocks etc. bit between them is feet. Top end is face, middle is for everything else.

That's really is an over-engineered, expensive solution for a problem that doesn't exist.

I can only look on in awe of that level of organisation in terms of towel area specifics.

Wouldn't work in our en-suite as we share whatever towel is to hand (not at the same time, obviously) so I could be rubbing Mrs. G's feet on my face first thing in the morning. Or worse.

You only need to smell an invisible skid mark while drying your face once and you'll never share a towel or use it the wrong way around again..

Weekly in summer as it dries out in the day. More often winter as it does not dry out properly.

If at the hotel, then every two days as ask for a fresh towel if there for longer that two nights stay.

Maybe consider shit tickets instead of wiping your ass on a towel after taking a crap...

Nice idea but far too simplistic for everyday use!

Vom.

That’s why I’d never consider using a towel twice.

Take one off the pile, use it even if it’s just for a shave, and drop it in the linen basket on the way out.

Rubbing someone else’s skin cells all over your body is minging.

Maybe whoever used that towel and left an invisible skid needs to learn to wash properly ???

TBF, I've lived alone so long that I've never considered the issue of shared towels

I suppose I change mine once a week - one for body and one for hair and face. The hair one is the microfibre type so dries really quickly and if the body one doesn't dry, I change it out

But I don't exactly get filthy dirty, however, I do wash properly

We have our own towels, and the wife gives guests who stay over their own ones. Dunno about washing them, I'm more property and auto maintenance than domestic chores! :shifty:

We have our own bath/shower/bog rooms so towel sharing isn't an issue.

Hers is full of a mind-boggling array of unguents, powders, flannels, towels, contact lenses + fluids etc etc. Mine has stuff to get me clean and dry. :D

Growing up in the 80's there was one towel and one flannel in the bathroom [shudder] in my teens I acquired my own bath towel (and OCD tendencies towards hygiene) looking back I think I know what might have started that

I'm surprised nobody else uses a towelling dressing gown.
As soon as you put it on, you've dried about 75% of your body.

I wished I'd had one for all the freezing cold bathrooms in my youth.
