I built and is still in my garage a Triumph Stag.
Mk1 Stag
Rover v8, 3.9 heads, tubular manifolds, offenhauser low profile manifold 4 barrel webber (like a holly but can change jets from the top), lt77 gearbox.
Lowered 2" on Spax adjustable suspension, polybushed all round. Camber adjusters on rear.
Wilwood vented disc and 4 pot conversion.
15" Revolutions with Toyo Proxies
Alfa Romeo front seats.
Nothing too wild but not many people modify them.
Planned upgrades include a complete BMW rear DIFF with LSD and CV joints.
1jZ with RX8 Gearbox
complete rewire with Link ECU and digital gauges.
But I am sniffing round a Mercedes r107 SL500 so it may not happen.

Run it with propylene glycol instead of the usual stuff to help cool it. We use in it RR Merlins (& my ZRX11), the temp drops 20deg

Have you had the Stag on a dyno?
Those R107 Mercs are climbing in price, get in quick!

Citron DS. Took one in part exchange years ago when they were worthless by today's standards. Loved the old barge!

I'm not exactly sure what but I'd like a classic car with electric motor installed.
There's loads of conversions on Youtube and although I like the idea of an electric car I don't fancy some of the tat the new ones have as standard.

Whisper it, but I actually quite like the electric E-Type with a digital dash.
The official Jag conversion puts a battery pack where the engine goes (using the same mounts) and an iPace motor where the transmission normally goes (same mounts again). They give you the original engine and transmission on a pallet.

Talking of Jags, Have you seen the retropower XJ coupe?
Lovely looking thing but they put an LS3 in it instead of staying Jag V12.
Harry Metcalfe of Harrys garage / Evo fame, has a v12 manual which is standard apart from suspension mods, its begging to be hot rodded IMO !
I'd love an XJC with a VR38DETT in it. Red, on slotmags.

A long time ago I had a Daimler Sov, Regency Red.
Now I've got more disposable cash and time, I wish I still had it.

I absolutely love the DS- its one of the cars I'd love to have and not change anything from standard spec.

The one I had was the one with self straightening steering and the funny little cotton reel speedo!

& the steerable headlights?
Step dad was a bit of a Citroen guy, had a series of them over the years, Ami, 2CV, GS, a bunch of DS's & CX's, including a Safari.
The Jag looks ok, but I frigging detest Chevrolet crap. Jagrolets have a fairly dismal rep over here.

If you're gonna tart up a classic jag's engine why not fit a 7 litre lister V12?

There weren't many XJC V12s but yeah, absolutely. If you're going to the trouble of swapping out a straight 6 at least go V12 !
Mind you, the eagle uses a 4.7 litre straight 6 with an ally block and FI, they are VERY spendy though.

An E Type would always be a straight 6 for me too.
Fitting a Jag saloon with a big American lump just feels wrong to me though! A lister V12 is going to be significantly more expensive sure, but its a Jag engine. Even a normal Jag V12 is gonna be a bit special though.

Here's a nice XJC v12 manual. (Harry Metcalfe of EVO and Harry's garage fame).

My Father-in-Law bought a brand new XJ12. He only put his name down for one to sell it on as they were rumoured to be in demand etc. He got a call saying the Mayor of Southend had to pull out of his intended purchase due to budgets and would he take a Daimler Sovereign v12 at short notice instead! He smoked it around for a few weeks and sold it on for a grand profit!
