Khan is worried about the poor little kiddies and old people*.

Not so much that for just £12.50 a day you can poison the fuck.out of them, mind.

* He's more worried, me thinks, about the hole in TFL's finances, post-covid.

Innit Gremmies, if it were anything to do with emissions, you'd not be able to take any vehicle in there at all. Instead, as you point out, we can carry on, just pay him £12.50 per day to do so.

Can you imagine as a company, you're not allowed to pour effluent into the river, ok well actually if you pay us to.......

Khan has lied about ULEZ, the emissions and air quality. Even other scientists have said none of it makes any sense at all. Khan has mislead the London Assembly and manipulated data. He is a grifter, Authoritarian hate preacher who already branded those who disagree with him as "anti-vaxxers" and "far right" - this is authoritarian extremism. If people accept this, guess where we'll be in 10 years time?

ULEZ was a Tory policy, he's just expanded it to catch the poorer people as well

Indeed it was, but many would say that since the idea was created, that air quality has improved and cars have got a lot cleaner. In reality, ULEZ as we see it now, is very far removed from the Conservative's initial idea, since evolution made things cleaner anyway - Khan has lied and manipulated data simply to introduce a tax and as you identify, it hits the poorest the hardest.

anyone got a motorbike re certified as ulez compliant? apparently private dyno operators are offering the service for 175 quid
id like to know how that works.

assumptions
1, its nox
2, the dyno operator has to drive it manually within a drive cycle
3, somehow, they measure grammes of nox for the cycle

so many questions.
do they have a proper analyser and span gasses? im assuming not as it would cost more than the dyno and take a long time to pay back at 175 quid a test. so automotive spec aftertreatment nox sensors? stuffed up the exhaust? what if its twin pipe one per cylinder? how are they calibrated?
can you use an inertia dyno, or do you need eddycurrent and apply a constant load. what load is it? what about the inertia in the drum then? they are all different. allow for that?
presumably the operator has to try and keep it within a band whilst the test is going on. whose software is it? presumably not dynapro or dynojet?
is it the same cycle regardless of size of bike?
how much error leeway is there in the cycle?
if adjustments are allowed, all you have is timing and fuel, so timing then?

that will do for now

Believe that a lot of people are getting it for free or as near as. You can request the CofC for your bike from the manufacturer and as long as the NOX levels are below the limit, you can submit to TfL and they grant you exemption.
I'm going to do this with the BMW I've purchased as it's not ULEZ compliant but is below the NOX limit.

My 1983 two stroke Yamaha is ULEZ compliant, so is my 1982 Kawasaki, and my 2008 Mitsubishi, and my 2020 Suzuki, but my 1990 Yamaha isn't, my wife's 2007 VW also isn't, not that I care as I don't want to go to Chelsea.

Well done on sporting the obvious song reference, honestly it's like the 80s never happened in here.
