Smoked anything apart from Cheese for some strange reason.
I'll order pretty much anything if it's smoked

For me, it's Pie 'n' Mash:
https://www.bbc.com/travel/article/2023 ... -fast-food
Have many a mate who sees it as a thing of wonder, a lunchtime treat to be appreciated. Double pie, double mash, liquor...shake a load of vinegar on it!
Whenever I've sampled it, it's leaden pastry, over-salted gravy filling with one or two pieces, if you're lucky, of tough beef (?), with lumpy mash and a thin, green sauce with little or no taste that swamps everything.
FFS, if that's the best the London can come up with....
Is Manze's still in existence ?
At Tower Bridge? Yup.
Reminds me, Londoners shouldn't be allowed anywhere near eels, leave them to the Dutch who know how to make them into something edible.

Dutch (smoked) eels are not bad
The Japanese do better!

Pork pie and that ilk
As a young kid I couldn't eat it and always gagged, My dad always twatted me for not eating it. My mum got sick of this so she made him experimemt
She made my favourite sandwich and he sneaked in some pork pie. I was enjoying it until I ate the pork pike, then I gagged and spat it out.
Thankfully he fucked off soon after.
Even now, the sight of it makes me puke

Most pies are horrible, a wall of fatty carbohydrate and cheap meat.
Charlie Bigham does a nice one in a ramekin with a puff pasty top and a lovely chicken, mushroom and slightly boozy filling.
edit - I hadn't seen the post above when I posted that. My main dislike is of hot main course pies, 'steak' and kidney etc. I agree many pork pies are minging also.

Reminds me of a WC Fields quote: 'Water? never drink the stuff. Fishes fuck in it.'
For me its butternut squash and aubergines. Vile muck.

My step son allegedly hated anything to do with sea food. We dished him up scampi and told him it was chicken nuggets. Fucking loved them

He was about 12 at the time.

If you want disgusting muck, may I suggest balut?

Jellyfish is odd
Century egg not so bad
Pig’s vagina was just very chewy ( and I can but hope it was well washed)

I could probably quite like aubergine in a cake; it's just when they're served as a fried vegetable or in moussaka that I can't abide them.

Brine jelly, the sort you get in jellied eels and pork pies, semolina, fake custard, blancmange, rice pudding and porridge. I love oats, even oats with cold milk, but not porridge

I love a Lambs Liver with Bacon and Onions with Gravy and some proper Mash pots! - A must in any proper west country establishment!
Chickens hearts are pretty tasty - Chickens Livers however are horrible - maybe this is why a lot of people don't like liver and onions as sometimes pubs cheap out on chicken livers!
