Didn't she bang Andrew Parker Bowles before he married Camilla?

Today is Carnaval :obscene-birdiedoublered:

It's huge all over the island and every town has one. It's our turn this weekend.
Dozens of amazing floats and hundreds of performers. Takes months of preparation and planning.

They all end up in centre of town and it turns into a huge party :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Heavy rain this morning and folk were panicking.
But lovely and sunny now 😎

COSTA TEGUISE BIG CARNIVAL PARADE TODAY
NEWS
Costa Teguise will hold its big carnival parade at 5.30pm today.

Starting at the Sands Beach Hotel and climbing slowly up the Avenida Islas Canarias towards then Pueblo Maritima, the Costa Teguise carnival is always one of the most intense on the island, a riot of noise, rhythm, colour, swishing, swaying movement, and wild costumes.

The Diabletes of Teguise will be present, of course, scaring onlookers with their fearsome masks, but there’ll be many more dancing, singing, and drumming groups and floats.

The parade will be followed by a verbena (open air ball) in the Avenida Islas Canarias carpark, which will go on until the early hours.

Been a while since I did this. Picked up this jalopy yesterday as a current camping option, that'll do till I have a proper overlander sorted. So rest of the weekend is moving stuff from the old van to this one :)

That looks quite a smart 'jalopy'!

It'll do! SWMBO wanted something we could fit into to, that's it.

Long term plan is a proper overlander but that needs to be sorted.

When you say a proper overlander?
That looks proper to me - what's would a proper one have that that one doesn't?
At least 6 driven wheels and a ladder up to the cab. Think German ex military vehicles. There's quite a few come up to the highlands and islands, I'd hate to think of the fuel costs.

+ a solar panel array, water purification unit and all the other 'off-grid' kit if some of the ones I've seen are anything to go by. Probably makes sense in the Mojave but not so much for Derbyshire or Scotland.

Some of them are amazing, kitted out to cross the Gobi desert, or to defeat serious mud. Probably ideal to cross Asia via the Road of Bones, but overkill for most folk. They also cost an arm and a leg, with running costs to match.

I want one, but can't afford it!

Can you lot all just send the snow over here? Bloody Italy had LOADS and even Tignes/Val had about 30cm - here? Maybe 3cm :( :( :( :angry-cussingblack: :angry-cussingblack: :angry-cussingblack:
