I've got a 750 seat in the garage but I doubt it's the same shape.

I've found a second hand one that says it was off a new bike and seat foam looks mint unlike a couple of second hand ones I've seen. But going to message him as doesn't say what model its from and the new version has a different seat.

Bagsters look like they'll be £250-300. Think I'll get a 2nd hand one as a start esp as if I sell it I'll have an oe seat. Then I'll look into cost/who does a good job recovering my seat and upgrading it - any recommendations?

In the meantime this is what it looks like on the bike. Fairly small, but it's there and I suspect it'll bother me too much. MOT bloke recommended a shoe repair place and glueing material from inside.



In other news it passed MOT fine.

Thanks for the offer of the seat but think they are different

I've used Tony Archer in Huddersfield and he's done good work in the past, but you'd need to check that he hasn't retired. This is what he did to improve rider and pillion comfort on my Duke 690.

Not read all the replies, sorry but - main thing is to keep the foam dry, or it will rot. Or when you jump on the bike, water will be squeezed out of the foam and down your trouser leg, making you look like you forgot your Tenaman.
Really, you need to fix the inside of the cover - not much going to stick on the outside. Can you prise out the staples enough to glue a patch inside? decent sized patch of vinyl, probably best fixed with Evo Stick. Or could you get a bicycle puncture patch in there from the outside- lots of adhesive help it in, then set?

My mate recovered his own with some material off ebay. Did a decent job. Just a staple gun job init. They used to be anyway.

I've done recovering in the past but never achieved a really good job. On the other hand, a local upholsterer recovered the modified seat for my departed XBR for £90 and it's excellent.
