Our car is due its 80k miles service soon which includes a Haldex service so I need a Haldex oil filter wrench. £12 from eBay.

Also bought some Facom ratchet spanners, well one spanner with interchangeable bits. I've already got ratchet spanners but the Facom are six point as opposed to twelve so that was my excuse for buying.

I hope you are going to ask an appropriate adult to use them for you…
I do like the ratchet spanner set though!

I bought a set of ratchet spanners about 5 years. Looked great.
Only ever used them once

Got this a while ago, think it was about fifteen quid secondhand.
Torque screwdriver.
Just took a punt on three of these (untested) for £12.50!
1 x Red Torquemaster Standard: (8 ozf in - 36 lbf-in) (600 gmf cm - 40 kgf cm) (6 - 406 c N m).
1 x Red Torquemaster Standard: 8 oz-in to 36 lb-in. Left & Right Hand
1 x Green Torquemaster Minor: 3 oz-in to 12 lb-in.
I like the way they have a 1/4" square drive socket in the handle as well.
Think you likely got a great deal there.
Not for everyday use but some pushbikes have some pretty small bolts into aluminium and the usual technique of turn it til the thread strips then back off a quarter turn isn't the best idea.

Why the 90 degree bend in the wrench?
And what keeps the inserts in the spanner when in use?

Used mine plenty. Not as much as Allen keys but still a fair bit.

Why the 90 degree bend in the wrench?
It's almost impossible to reach the haldex filter with a normal wrench, it's tucked behind various other chassis parts

Where’s the fun in that?

Once every 40k miles so I can’t imagine I’ll use it more than once. Saying that it’s debatable I’ll even use the once.

Why the 90 degree bend in the wrench?
Think it’s because access to the filter is restricted.
cheb wrote:

Kind of resistance fit.

May be of interest. Just been to Screwfix and they have an offer on Makita impact driver + drill + 2 × 18v Li-ion batteries for £180 (£40 off).
Almost worth me getting it just for the 2 batts and driver. But I resisted.

46mm combination spanner for the Speed Triple's rear wheel nut. Might be able to get it off now.

Should have bought a 46mm socket.
And a BIG breaker bar!

The spanner is 50cm long and I have rather strong hands according to my physio, I did not break the strength gauge, but I did put the numbers higher than she has ever seen them go....
I will probably get a socket too, but the spanner was £8 delivered off Ebay.
