Pedals all day with the boy. Wife been away.

It'll be out tomorrow though.

In honesty no matter how much I want to go out, weekends are generally not great for me. I'm more likely to get time midweeks

Replacing the standard seat on a KTM must be something everybody who buys one does. I get they make a fortune selling the comfy ones but perhaps they should think about making their bikes more useable from the start.

I remember when Abel had his 1190 ADV and on the big mile days (800 or so in a day) we did after 500 or so miles he was crippled after 75 miles at a time and needed to stop/stand on the pegs for ages whereas i could manage 150 mile stints on the Multi

The seat on my Superduke was hard, but it was the "race edition" seat and worked well on a racetrack.
The seat on my 690 is softer, but still far from great, about 80 miles before it starts to hurt. This is a road bike and the seat should be better IMO !

You can buy a better one πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ from KTM.

The Duke seat is lovely compared to mine

I found the 690 Duke seat pretty good, did 170 miles to Glastonbury on it with mates and 180 to Yeovil and found I was only uncomfortable at the end and only cos I done the route on B roads so about 5 hours riding.

No really.... really really.

It's just absolutely EPIC.... The ride, the fun, the handling, the way it delivers power, the looks, the riding position.... Just absolutely fantastic !

I went out for a ride and to view a car, then shot over to see @crust for a chat and a coffee....

I think i've done 80 miles on it now and they're 80 of the best miles i've ridden. Especially once you get it on the back-lanes and thrapping it in it's true environment. Carving it's way through the back lanes, it's a very happy place to be.

That can't be far off a record.... V5 arrived today.

Yesterday i started on the cleaning process.... although only a short session it gave me a chance to spot anything glaring, which happily i didn't find anything that jumped out at me. I'll continue with the process this evening and see how the underside of engine goes... then onto the shock area but that's well protected by a shield/guard as per MX bikes.

My new V5 landed on Saturday, the change of ownership was done online after 7pm on Wednesday.

It's been 8 weeks since the wife applied for a new passport.

My Camper V5 arrived on Wednesday and it was put into my name on the Sunday. Renewed my license on Monday and the new one arrived Friday! DVLA are really good with online applications.

My Wife renewed her passport using the Post Office service. They messed up the photo  and we had to retake it ourselves and submit it. Passport was back within 2 weeks and the wife got her money back from the Post Office application!

The passport is a change of name and address (and photo).

She last renewed it so we could get married in Gib, so was in her maiden name.

They took the photo in the PO, but to my eye it was wrong as she had some hair over part of her face.
