I wasn't a fan to start with, because, as you know, the power feels a bit, well, sterile, but as a package, it (eventually) won me over. Still couldn't go for a leccy bike though and ended up buying one that is so quiet i might as well have!![]()

I like them in the same way that I like my Smeg refrigerator that looks good and keep my food cold.
The Teslas are home appliances that get you from A to B and have tech that is genuinely next level and very convenient, we have auto driving here and it will drive me home on it's own, then when I get to where I'm going it will drop me at the door and go and park itself in an empty space, then when I come out I can stand in the doorway and as long as it's in line of sight I can call it over to me and it will drive itself to my feet.
Very handy if it's lashing it down and you're standing 150yds away from it in a car park, you just call it over to you rather than getting wet.

Re: Online competitions for cars, bikes and tech goodies.
I've just had a punt on a Ford Escort RS Turbo.
https://www.redline-competitions.com/co ... 9p-5-4-26/
I was quite keen on them as a youth but they were too expensive and when I was 17/18 and in a position to buy something I got a MK 2 Astra GTE.
I'd quite like a bit of a snotter like that to razz around, I'd spend just enough to keep it running/decent and then punt it on after I've had my fun.

FREE GIVEAWAY - Honda Acty HA4 - Japan's Finest Kei Truck - Auto Draw - 26th April
Draw guaranteed for 27/04/2026
1990 Honda Acty HA4 – Japan’s Iconic Kei Truck
If you’re looking for something truly different, the 1990 Honda Acty HA4 delivers character, charm, and practicality in equal measure. Freshly imported from Japan and now UK registered, this kei truck combines classic Japanese engineering with a surprisingly capable 4WD system and a usable load bed that rivals many modern pickups.
With under 50,000 miles on the clock, this example has been carefully prepared, upgraded, and maintained so the lucky winner can simply get in and enjoy it. Whether it’s used for weekend adventures, a unique daily runabout, light work duties, or as a standout showpiece, the Acty never fails to attract attention.
Despite its compact size, the Acty is incredibly practical. The 6-foot load bed offers more usable space than many modern pickup trucks, while the fold-down sides allow it to transform into a completely flat platform for loading. It is equally at home on a farm track, campsite, country lane, or parked outside your favourite café turning heads.
This particular truck has been comprehensively sorted to ensure reliability and usability while retaining its original charm. The upgrades and maintenance work carried out make it one of the best prepared examples around.

I reckon this lot will hit the comp big times. High ticket prices, but such a low amount of tickets compared to the other sites!

I've been having a punt on campers because our eldest wants one, she's a homebody and loves the UK, has no desire to travel outside of our borders and wants a camper so her and her partner can do more holidays in the UK.
I fancy the idea myself, the UK has got loads of great places, but you pay high prices for nice hotels or stay with noisy riff-raff in cheap ones, so a camper seems a good way to do it.

I still do one a month for £5-7 for a VW Camper, even though the VWs suit me less than the actual proper campers, their Comps are easier to find, so i do one. It would still help lots with some of our adventures if we were to win thoughIccyV2 wrote: Wed Apr 01, 2026 6:26 am I've been having a punt on campers because our eldest wants one, she's a homebody and loves the UK, has no desire to travel outside of our borders and wants a camper so her and her partner can do more holidays in the UK.

I'm buying a ticket on this. probably couldn't ride it if I won, but it can sit in my garden as a piece of art! Let's face it, it's a lot more interesting than an armless titty statue!

Registered in 2020, this bike has covered just over 4,300 miles from new. Our Agusta has had regular servicing, with its most recent being completed in July 2025 at 4,309 miles.

Re: Online competitions for cars, bikes and tech goodies.
I still maintain that the Dragster RC was the best bike I've ever owned, the power was perfect and you could throw it around like you're on a 125cc scooter.
That was a very special bike in lots of ways, flying it in from Italy, taking it out of the crate, doing some epic rides and then selling it for a stupid amount that paid off my mortgage - that's how it got sold, it was the only one in the country and I kept saying it wasn't for sale unless the bloke (who was outrageously rich) gave me enough to pay off my mortgage and in the end he did.
At the end of the day it's only a bike, it's way down the list of special moments in my life, but within the confines of owning motorcycles I don't think any bike could ever top the experience of buying, selling and owning that bike.

This is also stunning, I don't know what I'd do with it, but it would look nice and probably fulfil my need for a V10 so I don't need to buy a Sterrato.

Storm comps have one that is currently a disaster for them. less than 900 tickets sold so far, but £25 a ticket! Tis a bit yellow though...
