I'd take that...with a bit more cash for servicing. :D

Always had a soft spot for Maseratis.

This particular example started life in Connecticut, USA, before making the journey over to the UK in 2009. Since then, it’s been lightly used and well looked after, eventually finding its way to us here at Bridge Classic Cars, where it has been recommissioned and prepared for its next chapter.

Our Thunderbird has a 3.9-litre V8, paired with an automatic gearbox and rear-wheel drive. This car has a traceable story for large parts of its life, and this could easily be a comfortable and enjoyable daily drive for the lucky winner of this competition.

A 2012 Maserati is going to throw up a few maintenance bills.
I’d run a mile even if they gave it me for free.

Oh, absolutely. Hence the comment about the servicing.

As I say, I always had a soft spot for Maseratis (although they had  periods and made horrors like the Biturbo) but you'd have to be soft in the head to spend your own money on anything pre-Stellantis and the new ones don't float my boat at all.

I wouldn't cry in my pint if I won that one ^^^ though. Probably keep it for 6 months. :D

Sounds like the best (read only) way to own a Maserati is to win one! I'm reminded of the saying if you want a Maserati, buy two. One to drive and one for spares! :D

I would have had one (egged on by my Mrs!) as a company car...but it wasn't an option on the list.

There was nothing very compelling on the list at all but one colleague bought a s/h 911 and took the car allowance cash as a servicing fund (he had the car serviced by a Porsche main dealer so he probably had to top up the fund :D ). He eventually quit due to stress and trained to be a professional French polisher...and was very happy...but I suspect the Porker mutated into a Transit :( ).

My mate has a company Maserati, it was his dream car and he’s the CEO for a royal family members private businesses so he’s had Maseratis for a few years now. When I meet him for coffee he’s usually not in it because it’s being repaired.

I thought the current Stellantis cars were supposed to have got some of the reliability issues sorted (but also made the offerings a tad unexeceptional at the same time).

They've had periods where their output has been downright ugly too. I guess the magic is in the name and it lingers on from the days of Fangio but there have been a few v desirable ones on the, rather rocky, journey.

I guess it may be a bit like 'never meet your heroes' - owning a Maserati would kill the desire. Winning one would be the cheapest way of finding out!

The MC20 is a nice looking thing, but it's got a turbo V6 [spits].

Good man.
I was considering it as a family pool scooter, but only my daughter currently uses the one we have (an electric Yamaha) so it would sit there unused probably.

Nice looking things.
I had an SR50 years ago for the same thing, just zipping about on and it was great.

I love scoots and `I'd love that one, but probably not the best thing to leave parked up in London all day, so i'll have to pass.

Surely you enter competitions for mind blowing stuff that you wouldn’t normally be able to own?

And then you can win a Volvo…
