Interesting fact (for BMW R-GS LC owners)...

The base of the onboard screwdriver (under the passenger seat) fits the oil filler plug. There's even a hole to slot the screwdriver shaft into to provde addition leverage.





Which makes you wonder why there's so many tools for sale on ebay, I bet 80% of owners don't know this!

Nope.

I remember my old BMW E30 (car) had a neat little plastic grabber/tweezers/pliers thing which sat in the fusebox, exactly the right size for pulling fuses out.

My current German wagon has a branded HiVi which packs away into a perfectly fitted little pouch in the glovebox and a first aid kit which is flush with the boot floor. Oh and the electric windows slow down at the last moment just before they shut so it's quieter.

I do enjoy a neat design touch.

My E92 did too, and a rechargeable torch in the glove box. Apparently the fuse box on my Ovlov is under the passenger side carpet and you have to take half the car to bits to get to it.

Nope.

That's a shame. My local dealer used to run a sort of evening club and one of the things they put on was a demo of how to use the kit to best effect and you got a chance to have a go.

(They did other stuff like an evening with Charlie Boorman and organised ride-outs and France trips too. Then they changed ownership, stopped doing stuff, shut the café....then shut the business).

In ye good olde days, there was a tyre pump, first aid and cable lock (which was hinged to fold in half and stowed in the frame 'spine' tube.

Even the earlier K bikes had a decent toolkit.

So did my 1986 Renault 5 Extra van. And it had the giraffe hatch, very useful. I've not seen one on a van since.

First one to brake 100mph. Only one to beat it has been a fully tweaked saburu rally car. The 827 that he broke the 100 in was not that modded just him in the car and his memory of the course.

Iirc they're like Lobsters, the cells don't age/degrade so it's not old age that kills them, it's disease/fighting/getting so big the environment can't support them, etc...
