Hi.
Thought I'd put a note in to say that I'm still here, just very busy doing bikey things.
Last week I ran a Welsh trip that went very well indeed. In my experience there are occasional tours where everything goes right, even the weather, the group jells well, the routes are fab and the riding has sparkle. Friendships are made and everyone finds it hard to get back to reality and their real lives wanting to do it again and again. You can run the same tour with the same people the following year but it doesn't have the magic the first one did and the only thing you can do is to keep touring and eventually there will be another one that has the same impact. This was one such tour with the group still talking about it, we've arrange another next year and I'm chuffed. Picture below looking over Barmouth.
Next weekend I have organised the clubs big ride out where all members (who have attended at least one ride) can attend. The current number is around 100. It's all on my head - the start and end points, the route and stops and I'm feeling a little under pressure and can't wait for it to be over.
Sorry I've not been around but I have deliberately kept my July calendar clear for a rest before I head off to Romania in August.
