Today I update mine, tried it at 30km limit and 45kmh limit (or what ever 40 is it)
It’s pretty much mad…. Loads of fun….. but mad, cant see it being useful going down some twisty down hill stuff though, but I’ll give it a proper go Wednesday, going to Ranmore and explore from there as I am out with a couple of mates (who just want to do some XC and nothing to fill on)

Had a quick spin on a Velduro Avinox powered eeb today. Jesus Christ the power was mad, it'd be great for a trials/kick start type climbing course, it could open up a whole new challenge for trail centres with super technical climbs to attack.
They then showed me the same version of bike with the new M2s motor which is even more powerful, the mind boggles. I could see me getting one when the Evil dies for fast commutes over the Downs to work.

Evil Galactic Dictator laugh..............
Don't worry I still love my flesh powered bikes, the whole eeb thing is evolving into a separate sport. For me it's partly getting another ride or two in a week when my legs say no and also off road time constrained commutes around 12 hour shifts.

Mrs M wanted to go out on her EEB this weekend, she's not used it for 8 months or more so .....
Had to re-tape the rear wheel, as it was leaking, that was an unexpected, tedious and very messy job.
Relubed front wheel bearings as they were dry, front brake pistons free-ed up (still not brilliant) but better, probably needs new pads.
Put some air in the suspension...
Hopefully good to go.......

Test ride on new Pikes, much more active under pedalling than the DT Swiss on the Curtis previously. Set some good times down a few trails, close to PB's and no sore wrists at the end. Slight creak from headset (more grease during assembly I suspect) and the front brake needs aligning as it's started to rub. Overall very please with the new forks, and I haven't started to play with the settings yet other than Rock Shox Trailhead recommendations and turn LSC a couple of clicks softer than midway.

Oh FFS , poxy Praxis T47 BB requires a proprietary Praxis tool to remove it! The Park tool won’t fit to remove it but is required for the new BB. Oh well, another tool ordered, special delivery !

Hopefully fixed the creaky front end of the Curtis by tightening up the handlebar stem bolts. Freshly waxed chain put on the road bike as well.

I put new tyres on the bmx, much much better.
But this afternoon after the pump track I had some time and went to change the chain

well it’s current chain I now know is “wide” and the one I bought to replace it was “narrow” so when I tried to fit it, it went tits up. New chain arriving tomorrow.
Anyways the cranks felt tight and did not spin that well, so I removed them, bashed out the bears, cleaned the bottom bracket out (I think it’s the bottom bracket) greased it up, put it back together and seems to spin a lot better, guess new bears would be ideal but I don’t have them,
Chain can go on tomorrow and sorted for a bit.
