I rarely take pics when I'm out, but I did today. A very pleasant 25⁰ on the coast.

On the Zed today. The roads are getting mucky now and friggin roadworks/roads closed everywhere. Bike now needs a proper wash.

2 minutes after that, a police car pulled up and one of the two occupants informed where the bike parking was!

Nice to get out, though the perils are many after yesterday's wind and rain.

Yep, I did 70 odd cold miles on the Benelli this afternoon and the roads are definitely needing plenty more respect. Still nice to get out though.

A friend hadn't been out on his bike for three months, because he's fixing up all his houses with a view to sell,so we took a ride out after lunch and ended up coming home in the dark and rain. Both of us with dark visors ffs.
The Zed needs a damn good wash now for sure.

I'd quite like a go on a v-Max, there's something a bit cool about them that other cruiser stylee bikes don't do for me.

I haven't had a run on one either. That particular bike has had a lot of tweaks in the handling department and shifts surprisingly well for an old 80s bike.KungFooBob wrote: Sun Nov 02, 2025 5:29 pm I'd quite like a go on a v-Max, there's something a bit cool about them that other cruiser stylee bikes don't do for me.

Washing day today, no not like your mums Monday and Thursday , bike wash day after shit roads Sunday.
First thing is I think I need a front fender extender and the crap also flies up my back and helmet, not very good spray protection tbh.
This bike is going to get winter use so next time the roads are damp I'll be chucking on an over jacket, textiles covered aswel.

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
After 2 months of weekends being filled by DIY, bad weather or work travels, yesterday the opportunity arose to get a couple of hours of 2 wheeled freedom.
Winter gear emerged from the back of the wardrobe, along with my new cold weather jacket out for its first run.
Triumph Factory Cafe was the 1st target, lots of other folk out on this beautiful but chilly day the cafe was packed.
Then a short run over to see The Machine Shop also in Hinckley to have a chat about a potential winter project for the bike I have in mind.
For those that haven’t heard about The Machine Shop, it’s a well kitted out workshop including mechanical, fabrication and painting equipment that you can effectively rent time in. They also do training courses for members on various skills.
Not having checked what the challenge was on the riding challenge thread before heading out I made a failed guess at something for Halloween, so got a shout of the bike with a Phantom.
Then after checking the thread, here was a rather lame attempt to get a shot with a festive look for the with some red berries in the background.

Rode it round the back garden. Only reason it looks clean as its covered in ACF50 and now under canvas for the winter.
