If they are anything like the Brembo setup on mine,they'll be great. The best stoppers I've ever had.

I've got full Brembo on front of this GSXR1000. But the ABS kills the power.
If I ever get it on track I'll bypass the ABS.

I guess it's time i better start thinking about this year and the ZX6R.
It's been in the garage covered up since last used, the tank has some fuel stabiliser in it, so should be good to go. The battery goes on the NOCO Genius every 4 weeks or so for a few hours to make sure it's topped up.
I generally MOT it and that's in Feb on the 25th it's due, so will get it booked in and throw the road parts on there for it.

What’s the plans track wise this year for the wife? Dates have just been released for some up here at Knockers, I’m hoping to do as many as possible but as usual it depends on funds.

I think it's taken a bit of a back-seat this year due to other stuff mostly. I might need to re-title this thread after today to "our 2010 ZX6R"
@Welsh Muffin wasn't able to manage in terms of getting out of work, so as it was a sunny day i thought an early lunch with 20 mins out on the ZX6R was in order. The battery wasn't charged, which slightly surprised me, but it has been since Feb since it was run... but i think it's past it's best anyway.
So i jumped on it after charging, mostly to see if it had all the gears, fuelling, spark, but also to bed in the new Brembo discs.
By jiggedy it SCREAMS... i mean REALLY screams when you're riding it. I don't know exactly how many teeth we've got different i think it's a stock front and 7 up on the back... You'd have to ask @Couchy though to be certain.
I was quite surprised that it wasn't awful to ride... i think with having basically many months off riding and riding only naked sit up KTMs i'd got acclimatised to the riding position and the first thing i learned today was to relax my core more, relax my arms and i think i was simply riding it too stiffly before. I wouldnt say i was a cornering god... but it wasn't a complete disaster
The gearbox and QS on this thing i've mentioned before, but by GOD it's slick... like barely touching the lever and it's into gear, just super super smooth. Fuelling is spot on even from 2000rpm in 3rd it pulls effortlessly, straight up to 12,000 where you're seeing about 599mph on the clocks and going 40
Could arguably do with a speedo healer or something on there i guess... but hey, who really cares.
I don't know if it was a different mindset, different riding style or what... but i could quite easily use this whenever... and it saves me spending £6000 on a new bike
