The e-bike is getting a brand new rear tyre instead of some part worn cast off it usually gets. This wet weather is looking to be continuing up here for a while longer so some bitier tread will be welcome. I might even re-tape the rim so it can go back to being tubeless again if it wazzes down this Sunday.

Burped it on a ride and couldn't get it to go back up, as the tyre rolled it had lifted the tape so whacked a tube in to finish the ride and been to lazy to sort the tape since.

A cheap Conti Xynotal (from Sport and Leisure) for the hardtail to go with the Argotal on the front. It's getting a bit drier now so thought it was worth a go. Just Trail Endurance compound which is plenty grippy enough for that bike.

Very boringly I've had a set of Lyriks on order for the Curtis since Christmas, estimated arrival was April, LBS got my hopes up a few weeks ago saying you are getting the new ones, only to find out that the 140mm flavour is special order with a very long lead time and the 140 air spring to convert the 150's they have to 140 travel doesn't arrive till the end of June.

Grrr🤬😡

Hoping for a Pike announcement soon.

I have bought it a bearing service for the rear suspension / motor look over and BB service.
I could have done the bearings - but whne I went onto YouTube and it started mentioning "bearing pullers" I thoght I would help the bike economy along

What is so special about the air spring ? I thought I had upped my Lyriks from 140 to 150 ...

New set of pedals for the Eeb, cleaned and lubed the old pair of TIME Speciale 12's and they have a few cracks in the cage from heavy impacts as well as a nasty bend and one of the springs is a bit wonky as well from another bastard Dartmoor rock so the RHS pedal is not the most confidence inspiring lock in. TIME XYSTO's ordered.

I shall be sourcing a new T47 BB for the Madone as the NDS bearing is well on its way out. Not sure whether to go for a direct replacement or upgrade to something with ceramic or angular contact bearings.....I'll chat with the LBS tomorrow. Maybe a set of the Maxhit bearings.

Got my self a chain check tool park tool thing, no idea how to use it though……v :banana-wrench:

A chain splitter and joiner thing pliers……just need a spare chain to rotate.

Got a Lezyne rear light for the road bike, as the other is on it way out.
