Took the SV650S out for the last ride of Winter.Nice day for it.

I put it on a SORN as soon as I got home,It's getting a well earned deep clean & overhaul & the Street Triple's getting dragged out

I'd wait until the gritter goes to sleep. The dry roads here were doused with the stuff and there'll be another month or so of that,I'll bet.Bustaspoke wrote: Sat Feb 28, 2026 4:51 pm Took the SV650S out for the last ride of Winter.Nice day for it.

I'm fully expecting the gritters to get out there again in the next couple of months, but I'm also hoping that we get more good days & oportunities to ride as the weather (hopefully) improves so I'll leave the bikes in the garage when the gritters have been out & about.Skub wrote: Sat Feb 28, 2026 6:50 pm I'd wait until the gritter goes to sleep. More monkey miles, up to 750 now and very enjoyable it has been.

Familiar run this morning, out to Kinlet cafe where there was a vintage group haveing a rest, Took some pic's, then up Clee Hill and this time I went to the summit where there be a weather station, but lots of fog and pretty grim today.
Into Ludlow for fuel then over the race coarse and back to Much Wenlock and home.
Saw this bantam 350, thought it looked quite nice, never spoke to the owner but definitely seeing more of these 350 /400s about.

Moto Guzzi 3 wheeler was a bit unusual and definitely different.

And a mix of Bsa, Triumph, Early Harley, Enfields and more.

Almost looks like a 'usb' symbol on that Bantam's cylinder head.Dodgy69 wrote: Sun Mar 01, 2026 4:49 pm Saw this bantam 350, thought it looked quite nice, never spoke to the owner but definitely seeing more of these 350 /400s about.

You must be the only person who puts the bike away for the summer.Bustaspoke wrote: Sat Feb 28, 2026 4:51 pm Took the SV650S out for the last ride of Winter.Nice day for it.

I've got 3 others for the summer & I'll put this one back on the road in a few months after I've given it a good clean & some maintenance. It'll give me something else to look forward to in a few months.McNab wrote: Mon Mar 02, 2026 1:43 pm You must be the only person who puts the bike away for the summer.![]()

Apparently Maeving have just secured some major investment to exploit their recent US launch.
Personally, I think they look ruddy horrible with the faux classic styling but they are selling well - at least, by eMoto standards.
(or did you mean the marvellously well thought-out tatoo with the bra strap running right across it?)

People seem to like hideous looking fake old time bikes. We have that and that fuggly Janus thing that hit the 'influencer' headlines for all the wrong reasons a few months back. The Spin Doctor wrote: Tue Mar 03, 2026 11:16 am Apparently Maeving have just secured some major investment to exploit their recent US launch.

I'm saying that as an owner of 2 variants of the modern Bonivilles

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
Went for a dual purpose ride today. First was a visit to the cemetery to see my parents grave. It's hard to imagine that my Mum's been gone for almost a year.
Then on to Finchinfield, along with a million other bikers. Still got a coffee and cake
. A tricked out Vespa turned up with a guy fully kitted out for BSB. He was enjoying himself and raised a few smiles. Good to get out.

You wait ages for a bus, and then three come along at once.

The local bike meet place had it's final Saturday meet of the Winter,I went with one of my mates & we met some others there.

Never seen one of these before

As usual there were a few old 2 strokes there

The owner of a BMW GS lost his lower leg in a bike accident many years ago. He's done tens of thousands of miles motorcycling since his accident, this is his gear change,it's operated by a couple of buttons on the left handlebar

That's Simon Lister's bike. He used to run Triplesparts. A man of many motorcycles, even though the herd has been thinned the last few years. He did the Piston Rally on that S3 last year.
