Even Skub forgot to paint blue sky in his pics recently ;)
Hopefully over the next few days, then we'll get sunburnt!!
I took the Street Triple out earlier (After the April showers had stopped)

If you look closely there's some blue sky up there

Out with the monkey today. Thought it was about time i found myself a nice local nuclear bunker. Had a look around, seems ok. 👍

Got a bit thirsty, so popped in the Shroppie fly, Audlem. Pint of Hpa by the canal.

I don't want to talk about the weather. 🤬

What's he think of the RS. Every owner i ask say " it's ok". Never too thrilled for some reason. Reckon they'll get through a few owners. 🤷‍♂️

Another nippy but sunny one, headed north today into the Warwickshire Leicestershire countryside.

I know it’s been said many times before here but heated gloves are a real game changer. They are the only real difference in my kit this year but in the past days like these I’d be 50/50 on heading out. As I knew that after a while I’d be feeling cold, then tense and being distracted by feeling uncomfortable.

Now with warm hands its more than bearable, I know it’s cold but far from front a centre in my mind.

Allows me to get out and catch these sights.

Stop off for a coffee and ginger cake at a place near Twyford, before heading back home.

Glad I took the opportunity today as I’ll be tied up for the next couple of weekends.

He's had two or three of them so far. This latest one he was talked into when he went for something else. I know a few folk who own the RS and opinion ranges from 'love it' to a more lukewarm response. Some of the finish doesn't hold up well,if you're not careful. Rusty seams on the bottom of the tank n' schitt.
The looks are the big seller, particularly for oul boys who lusted after the Z1 in their youth.

I think they're a good enough bike if you aren't expecting sportsbike levels of handling, though I'm sure that could be fixed like any bike.

Was going to head out this morning on my own when my brother text to ask if I fancied meeting up and heading to Caffeine and Machine Ampthill. As it's more a car place my older brother also came along in his Mustang, which is great as usually it's just me and my younger brother so getting all 3 of us meeting was nice.

Left at just before 9 and it was a little chilly, but nice and sunny. Met younger bro in Hitchin and then we did a twisty route to the cafe.

Image

The cafe itself is nice although their coffee machine was broken :angry-cussingblack: Lots of nice cars at times but also some proper gash stuff including several leccy cars blaring out fake exhaust notes  Sounded utterly shit. By the time I took a pic after a couple of hours there wasn't much impressive in this row

Image

Some nice bikes turned up at times too. Def go back to meet up at somepoint.

Bro and I got papped for Facebook as we were leaving, I was doing my jacket up so looks like I was hiding, luckily for you!

Image

Managed a decent route to and from via Codicote, all in all a good morning.

I bought some heated gloves (battery pack powered) for walking the dog over the winter and they've been a real eye opener - I think I'm going to have to look into Keis's catalogue...

P.S. I don't know if I've ever mentioned it, but your bike is my favourite of all the bikes I see posted on here (with apologies to Mr Orange). It's bloody lush.
Virtually every time you post a pic of it I end up going to the Triumph website (I wish I was joking) and looking at it and it's little brother. If they did a mid-range version I'd be in proper trouble. 🤩

They're no Z/Gpz/ZX*. Some bloke on one wanted to play in the canyon today & got humiliated by some old duffer on an '83 GPz11.. altho to be fair I was kinda wired as I'd just stuffed three Ducati's ridden by the racy leather brigade. Took one of them damn near 10 miles to catch me & only got past after I slowed to a crawl. Rather proud of that.

*With that said, a mate has one that's been well sorted by James Compton & the damn thing eats ZX14's for breakfast. It's almost unrideable. :wtf:

Could have died a messy/crispy death yesterday. Hit a fucking pothole on the freeway exit ramp hard enough to pop the filler cap open & dump gas all over. Most of it ended up on my right leg.
Punched it shut & then dropped by the local brewery for a swift sherbert, was reeking of gas so much that people 30ft away were asking where the smell was coming from (don't go there fuckers...) Thankful that smoking is banned.
Thank fuck the tank wasn't full.

Ages ago the village mechanic had a petrol pump and one morning I decided to use it. At the time I had the KTM 625SMC, which had a tiny fuel tank. Pulled in and he came out to fill it, I said it's fine I'll do it and he insisted. Due to that I was still sitting on the bike, just as I started to say be careful as the tank is small he stuck the nozzle in and gave it full beans, split second later and a fountain of petrol shot about 1.5ft up in the air and all over me and the hot engine :flame: luckily I didn't go up but I stank of fuel for hours.
