It began last August and has grown steadily since. Every Wednesday evening. There's always folk there even if the weather's crap,but the good day's bring the numbers.

More unsettled weather after today,so seizing the moment.

No pics from today's ride as I only went to Stevenage Old Town to meet the Mrs for coffee. Nice day but pretty windy out there, ride was meh, too many cars but it was on 2 wheels so there was that.

It's not straightforward.

Mister Blue handles much better,none of the 70s wobbles and weaves,but you need to be really careful and don't forget to leave a big margin for drum brakes. There is absolutely nothing approaching an emergency stop,should you fuck up.

Mister Orange handles well hairy on bends at speeds of 80mph +. The clutch action and throttle are much heavier than Mister Blue,but while the single front disc is shit by today's standards,it's not as downright dangerous as a drum front.

If Mister Blue had some brakes,it would be a clear winner.

So 'seizing the moment' you say, more blue sky, is this summer... had to ride to work today

Not a bad commute that.

I could cope with that daily journey in that sort of weather.

(Might feel slightly less keen in November - Feb ).

Which part of the country is it? Roman fort should be a clue but there's a few of them around. Scottish border/Northumberland....

Bit lower i reckon.
