It was a very quiet day yesterday. In fact I think I only spoke to about 30 people. Part of our problem was having too many on the stand, about 12 people from various F&R, Police and us. I went and watched, and listened to, the BMW staff briefing before the doors opened, bit of a strange briefing, mostly about getting customers to buy their bikes obviously but a long bit about keeping the footfall moving through the stand!!
The BikerTec stand mentioned earlier, right next to us but it took me half the day to realise what it was about! Had a very long conversation with a very nice lady who explained about the bike having various components usually found inside a broken human. Interesting but not sure they got much interest.
Noticed a Harley stand, didn’t go on it, but they were absent last year.
But all in all, the show is too long, it’s over 2 weekends, and the volumes were well down on last year as far as I could see.
Good day out for us, had a laugh with both staff and customers, scammed a few bits off the Sealey stand, had some very nice sweeties from the Bikers Mental Health stand and a few beers paid for by others.

Yeah I queued for ages to get into the car park.

I bought a samosa donut combo thing in the good food show, plus some kimchee ketchup and some Filipino marmalade.

There's also one or two more shows on. Yesterday evening as we were leaving there were loads arriving for some show or other.

Don't these Chinese companies do any market research on names before entering new markets? 'Chinchilla Benda' is hardly the type of name one expects to see on a rufty-tufty V-twin cruiser.

Having said that they could be doing a Jaguar on us, going all LGBTQ+ on us and tapping into a hitherto unexplored market sector.

I'm calling it Brenda, anyway... :)

And this is some bumf from their website:

Just make sure that it's fully lubed first.

Yup, saw that on the Moto GB stand.

Did think "that doesn't translate well"
