Due to me being busy and the bloody garage taking 9 days to do an MOT, tonight was the first chance to take the Fazer out for a proper run. Now apart from a brief ownership of a ZRX11 some 15 years ago and no funds to put it on the road this is my first bike over 750cc since passing my test in 1986

Its fucking Awesome

As soon as i got to the edge of town and opened it up i had the biggest grin on my face. Lots of power, pulls like the proverbial train. No need to drop a gear to pass traffic what is a novelty :D Sticks like shite to a blanket on the corners (Must check tyre brand) and stops like a stoppie thing. Binned the delkevic end can and put on the black widow what was on my 600 fazer as loud pipes sound shit. Needs carb balanced and probably a service but apart from that i am so glad i bought the bike. Ill look into some hard luggage come the winter and this is taking us to Euro Land next year. Probably lake Como/Garda area.

A mate of mine worked at a motorbike rental place in the 00's and had a pick of pretty much all the crop of latest bikes at the time to ride if they weren't hired to take home. The Fazer 1000 pretty much always won if it wasn't out.
